Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received by the Ulah Department of Transportation UDOTDPS Building (2nd Floor), 4501 South 2700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah 841 19, until 2 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 1993, and at that time publicly opened for construction of Scenic Turn-outs (Various Locations) in Garfield County, the same being that section of Bryce Jet. to Torrey identified as Federal Aid Project No. SE-0012(3)0. The length of road to be constructed con-structed or improved is 106.32 miles, and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: 2100 Cu. Yds. of Asphalt Concrete Mix, 5700 Tons of Untreated Base Course 34" of 1" Max., and 140 Lin. Ft. of Stone Masonry Wall 46" High. The project is to be completed in 40 working days. A contractor's license is not required re-quired prior to bidding, but must be obtained before undertaking any construction. In conformity with the Federal-aid Federal-aid Highway Act of 1968 the U.S. Department of Labor has certified the wage rates for this contract which are the minimum wages to be paid on this contract. These rates are made a part of the contract documents. The attention of bidders is directed di-rected to the fact that this Department Depart-ment has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, U.S. Department Depart-ment of Labor, that contractors engaged en-gaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions ol the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, (52 Stat. 1060). - This contract is subject to all appropriate Federal laws, including title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. A current list of minority contractors, con-tractors, suppliers, and equipment lessors is available and will be furnished fur-nished by the Utah Department of Transportation, UDOTDPS Building Build-ing (1st Floor Civil Rights offices), of-fices), upon request. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF OPEN FORUM PUBLIC HEARING AND AVAILABILITY OF ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT On the Proposed Replacement of the Escalante River Bridge On State Route 12 at Calf Creek Project No. BRF-001 2(2)74 (Former Project No. BRF-034(2)) The Utah Department of Transportation Trans-portation herewith advises all interested inter-ested persons or groups that it proposes pro-poses to replace the existing one-lane one-lane structure on Slate Route 12 over the Escalante River at Calf Creek with a new structure to accommodate ac-commodate two lanes of traffic. The project concept is to place the new structure on the same alignment align-ment with the roadway elevation raised approximately 10 feet. The project will include reconstruction of approximately 900 feet of SR-12 to meet the higher bridge elevation and the use of a temporary one lane detour during the actual construction. construc-tion. The governing officials of Garfield County are aware of this project. The public herewith advised that an Open Forum Public Hearing conducted by the Utah Department of Transportation to discuss the Environmental Assessment prepared for this project and the location and design features of the proposed improvements im-provements will be held on Tuesday.
