Show Appreciates Association Clair Baldwin, as previously announced, has accepted a transfer to Colorado to continue his career with the U.S. Forest Service. Personally, Per-sonally, I will miss Clair and his leadership as ranger of the Powell District. District Ranger is not an easy job. Though decisions must be made. The outcome may not always al-ways be the most popular to some people. I have respected Clair's ability to make those necessary decisions de-cisions in dealing with the forest environment We are fortunate in Panguitch to have good USFS employees. Much of our lifestyle and livelihood depends de-pends on the surrounding Forest Service lands. As one highly concerned con-cerned about wildlife resources and habitat, I appreciate the attention that wildlife habitats have been given during Clair's tenure as ranger. I wish Clair success in his new assignment, and look forward to working with Carl Gillette as the new Powell District Ranger. Norman McKee Wildlife Conservation Officer |
