Here at Bryce Valley High School's Friday night J . prom, young and old alike enjoyed the evening's traditional festivities, 1 reviving old memories and creating some new ones. Bryce Valley High i i Junior Prom Held j TROPIC Bryce Valley High . School class of 87 held their Junior ' Prom Friday, April 4 in the high I school gym. Dancing to the music of Gold Rush, a six piece band. Over three hundred students parents and guests enjoyed an evening that brought back fond memories for many and created new memories for the younger set. The class, numbering 24, with the help of volunteers transformed a very plain gym into a silken covered fantasy land with an aircraft cargo parachute suspended from the ceiling and, using the class colors, lilac, pink and white, and berib-boned berib-boned the sides with twisted crepe paper. A white - flower - covered - kiosk in the center of the floor completed the scene of the prom. The class of 87 selected the theme of "Heaven" for their prom. Guests were served punch and cherry cheesecake. Junior class officers were Shannon Garrett, president; Shawn Chynoweth, vice-president; and Kathy Allen, secretary. Prom chairmen were Kimberly Talbot and Shawn Chynoweth and advisors were Clare Ramsay and Kent Osborne. Room mothers are Kristi Talbot, Charlotte Littlefield and Lael Chynoweth. Other members of the junior class are Tina Brown, Rhonda Bybee, Audrey Davis, Helen Dutton, Sheila LeFevrr, Trinette Littlefield, Kathy Stock, Merrilee Palmer, Kimberly Talbot, Paula Torgerson, Jennifer Abner, David Barney, Chris Baugh, Sahwn Bybee, Tracy Feltner, Jan Fullmer, Ted Kennedy, McLain Mecham, Lynne Shakespear, William Pollock, and Sharlene Littlefield. Faculty members of Bryce Valley High School consist of Lowell Mecham, principal; Carol Niemann, secretary and teachers, Ruth Baugh, KayeLynn Brook, Jim Clarke, Layne LeFevre, David Pollock, Clare Ramsay, Carl Shakespear, Kent Osborne, Margaret Mecham, and Vicki Ahlstrom. On the souvenir programs, the class sincerely welcomed everyone to the prom expressing the hope that all who attended would cherish the memories of the evening forever, carrying on a treasured tradition in Garfield County where attending the annual junior prom is for juniors and "seniors" alike. |
