Show flREff OBITUARIES Bryant Lloyd Wogan CANNONVILLE -- Funeral services were held April 5 in Can-nonville Can-nonville for Bryant Lloyd Wogan, age 42, who died April 1, 1991 in St. George. Cannonville LDS Ward Bishop Joe Thompson officiated and offered of-fered the family prayer, with prelude pre-lude and postlude music provided by Gay Shakespeare. Lois Olsen gave the invocation followed by a vocal solo by Tracy Jones. A special musical selection was rendered by Mary and Kathryn Snyder and Ann Larsen accompanied accompa-nied by Gay Shakespeare. Speakers included Jim Hayes and President LaMonte Twitchell with special remarks by Bishop Joe Thompson. A final musical selection was sung by the Cannonville LDS Ward Choir followed with the benediction benedic-tion by Heber Winget. Pallbearers were Kay Hayes, Dennis Barker, Charles Fowlkes, Michael Wogan, Ira Twitchell, and Kendall Twitchell. John Walter Leibenguth ES C AL ANTE Fu neral services were held April 9 at the Escalante LDS Stake Center for John Walter Leibenguth, 70, who died April 5, 1991, at his home in Escalante. He was born May 2, 1920, in Caseyville, Ky.,to James Edward and Nellie Grace Oglesby Leibenguth. He married Flora Smith Aug. 12, 1941, in Pioche, Nev. He was a member of the Escalante Lions Club and served two terms as president. He served on the Escalante Town council for four years. He was a foreman at the Skyline Lumber Co. in Escalante for 28 years. He was an active member of the LDS Church, holding the office of elder. Survivors include his wife of Escalante; one son, Jake Leibenguth and one daughter, Mrs. Weldon (Marie) Porter, both of Escalante; seven grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters, Dick Leibenguth, Poole, Ky.; William Leibenguth, Margaret Leibenguth, Mary Collins, Sally Wright and Ruth Bosecker, all of Sturgis, Ky. He was preceded in death by a son Afton J.; two brothers, Virgil and Charles; and a sister, Anna Marie. Vergil. Officiating at the funeral services was Bishop Myron Cottam. The family prayer was offered by Layton Smith. Prelude and postlude music was by Susan Wilson The invocation was offered by Jay Porter followed by a vocal trio of Marlene Haws, Deon Alvey and Geraldine Liston. Tributes to their grandpa were paid by granddaughters Brenda Williams and Lori Ahlstrom. Granddaughters Paula Shakespcar and Lisa Leibenguth Lula Workman Davis PANGUITCH Funeral services were held April 4 in the Panguitch 3rd Ward LDS chapel for Lula Workman Davis, 77, who died April 1, 1991 in Panguitch. Officiating at the funeral services was Bishop James H. Hatch. The family prayer was offered by Wally Veater, with prelude and postlude music by Pam Robison. Brent Davis offered the invocation, followed by a musical; selection by the Panguitch Tri-Ward Tri-Ward choir. Sandy Albrecht and Pamela Malstrom gave a tribute to their grandmother and the greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren sang "I Am a Child of God." Speaking was Robert Davis, with a vocal solo by Gail Sondergaard, accompanied by Pam Yardley. Pam Jarman and Evelyn Black sang a final duet, accompanied by Pam Yardley, with the benediction offered by Rob Vealcr. Pallbearers were Daryl Veater, Jody Davis, Steve Burton, Kip Davis, Jeffrey Veater, Bob Burton, Colby Davis and Shane Clark. Honorary Pallbearers were Hyrum J. Davis, Dennis Davis, i . ! Delane Griffin and Lynn Griffin performed a duet followed by remarks from Bishop Cottam. Kenny Goulding sang a final musical tribute followed by the benediction by Deward Smith. Pallbearers were Jake Leibenguth, Walter Grant Leibenguth, Greg Shakespear, John Ahlstrom, Weldon Porter, Dirk Durfey, David Williams, and Howard Miller. Honorary pallbearers were Shane Shakespear, Clinton Shakespear, Keaton Durfey, Drew Williams, and Dusty Ahlstrom. Interment was in the Escalante Cemetery with military rights by the Escalante American Legion Post and dedication of the grave by Stanley Mecham. Funeral directors were Neal S. Savage CIRCLEVILLE - Funeral services ser-vices were held Monday for Claude E. Savage, 83, of Richfield who died April 5, 1991, at a daughter's home in Circleville. He was born Oct. 22, 1907, to Parley Franklin and Claribel McCullough Mc-Cullough Savage in Antimony. He married Katie Berdene Spencer on Dec. 21, 1933, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Aug. 6, 1953. He married Mary Holt Baker on Nov. 5, 1966, in Richfield. He owned and operated his own ranch in Antimony for many years. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Roger (Beverly) Westwood of Circleville; Mrs. Ken (Pamela) Wells of Walnut, Calif.; Mrs. Nanette Simkins of Monroe; Mrs. Robert (Candace) Tail of Fruit Heights; 14 grandchildren; grand-children; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lynn Savage of Richfield. He was preceded in death by two sons, Claude Kemp and Thomas Carlyle; and three brothers, Ward, Don and Gwendolyn. Gwen-dolyn. A special "Tribute to Dad" was given by daughter Nanette Simkins, MARYSVALE Funeral services ser-vices were held April 6 at the Marysvale LDS Ward chapel for Erick Dylan Hilliard, 22, of Marysvale who died April 2, 1991, of injuries suffered in an automobile automo-bile accident in Marysvale Canyon. He was born August 31, 1968, in Orange, Calif., to Harry Jerome and Laura Diane Brame Hilliard. He graduated from Piute High School, served two years in the U.S. Navy and was employed by Jarfor Repairs in Richfield. He is survived by his parents of Marysvale, Utah. His grandparents grandpar-ents are Henry and Dorothy Tal-bcrt Tal-bcrt of Mojave Valley, Nev.; Mrs. Polly Michencr, Huntington Beach, Calif.. Bishop Wayne James officiated at the funeral services where Gary James offered the family prayer. Dennis Mann played prelude and postlude music. The invocation was given by Todd Troseth, followed fol-lowed by a vocal solo "Wind Beneath Be-neath My Wings" by Polly Troseth, accompanied by Tiffany Swalberg. Favorite recorded musical selections se-lections followed tributes by Steve Syddall, Bill Blackwell and Bishop James. The benediction was offered by Paul Swalberg. Bishop Jerry Savage also spoke and additional remarks were given by Bishop Roger Westwood. Benediction Bene-diction was rendered by Robert Tait. Pallbearers were grandsons, Shawn Westwood, Tim Westwood, Wade Westwood, Kemp Wells, Kurtis Wells, and Bryan Tait. Interment was at the Antimony Cemetery where Lynn J. Savage dedicated the grave. All services were under the direction of Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield. James Vernal Gouldinsr HENRIEVILLE Graveside services were held April 6 at the Panguitch City Cemetery for James Vernal Goulding, 90, of Phoenix, Ariz., who died March 31, 1991 in Roswell.Ga. He was born Aug. 26, 1900, to George Joseph and Marian Pinney Goulding in Henrieville. He married mar-ried Nellie Showalter in Arizona at the Mesa LDS Temple in 1972. She died on Jan. 2, 1989 in Phoenix, Ariz, and was buried in the Pangui tch Cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Paul Goulding, Bend, Oregon; and Jerry; Goulding, Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter, Betty Lee Laake, Seattle, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
