Show t--A- A ' A A A A A A A A A ri A.r.rfc Cindy Sawyer spent the weekend week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Goulding Jr. Eliza Porter and the Evan Porter family visited here with Elsie and Kenneth Goulding. Many folks attended the Wallace Ott and Amplus LeFevre birthdays. JoAnn and Martin Hermanson visited with the Irving Roses and .attended a school reunion at the Hungry Coyote in Tropic. Others here visiting and attending the reunion reun-ion were Barbara and Lance Jaggar, Shelly and Wade Barney, and Elayne and Thomas Brough. David and Delpha Rose had Mr. and Mrs. Max Rose, Mr. and Mrs. Collin Rose, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Rose and their families here working work-ing on their home. Visiting Katie Morton was son, Bruce Morton, and family of Farm-ington. Farm-ington. Paula Henrie took her mother Mary Chynoweth, north to attend funeral services for her uncle. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Johnson visited visi-ted the Ellis Johnsons. Everyone is pleased about having hav-ing the streets oiled and chuck holes filled. A heavy storm and some hail hit here on Wednesday afternoon. A big tree in the field west of town was hit by lightning and caught fire. The quick and generous help of neighbors during a recent fire in Cannonville, combined with the efforts ef-forts of our local fire departments, prevented further damage. Their speedy responses are sincerely appreciated ap-preciated Family members visiting Robert and Helen Willis from Hawthorne were Peggy and Craig Oberhanski, son Dino and fiancee Lesa Moss; Daniel and friend Ramon Ra-mon Arimallo, and Brandi Oberhanski. Ober-hanski. Rick Willis, Jonathan Willis and Erin Willis from Boise, Ida., and Suzanne Heaton of Sandy, spent the weekend here painting at the Oscar Willis home. An LDS Ward Social was held Wednesday evening at the town firehouse. On Sept. 15, Kenyon Piatt will have his testimonial prior to leaving for his mission on Oct. 9. Robert and Louise Patterson are in Ohio as his father passed away on his way back home after having spent some time here visiting Robert and some scenic attractions in Arizona. Deward and Re Von Smith from Hawthorne are here spending time visiting his sisters Ruby Moore, Iris Bushnell, Doris Liles and Laura Clark and brother Layton Smith. The Layton Smiths went to Cedar City to be with daughter, JoAnn Goddard, whose husband had a heart attack. Mada Partner and family members mem-bers spent the weekend here at the family home. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Piatt were in Salt Lake City to a telephone tele-phone company convention. Their son, Kenyon, went with them. |
