Show j - ?rapie Tepice - Ella Adair Mr. and Mrs. Bert Millett visited in Tropic Liza Mae Winn visited with P friends. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Jensen, Baltimore, Md., were in Tropic visiting. Lynn was a former teacher at Tropic High School. Gale Pollock spent the weekend at f) the Jack Pollock home. a; Ella Adair and Margaret Mecham attended a Five County meeting for S Senior Citizen council members in y Beaver. Ray Littlefield has returned home after surgery in a St. George hospital. The local Boy Scouts have a drive for old car batteries and deer hides. Starting next Sunday, all meetings will be held one hour later in the Tropic LDS church, the first one at 10 a.m., Priesthood meeting and Relief Society, M.I.A. and Primarv. Leon Stewart visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Stewart. The Evan Chynoweths visited with . the Jack Chvnoweths. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Littlefield visited with daughter Helen Beatty in Toquerville. Their daughter Linda Littlefield came from California and spent two days also visiting with them. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Wintch took their grandchildren home to St. George. Kelly Moore, Las Vegas, spent a few days with her parents, the Matland Baughs. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Mecham and Mr. and Mrs. Malen Littlefield were in Salt Lake City for medical checkups. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Littlefield and Charlotte Littlefield were in Las Vegas this past weekend. While there, the Norman Littlefields watched son Jay's football team play. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shakespear had an elk barbeque dinner at Kodachrome State Park for Tom's mother Wanda Shakespear on her birthday. Leone Wooley and Veota Wooley, Orem, and May Sawyer visited with the Roy Shakespears. Reed LeFevre has purchased Malen Mecham and Viva Mecham, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Pollock, and RaVae Pollock attended at-tended funeral services for Francis Hatch in St. George. Sherman Baugh attended funeral services for his brother, La Vaughn Baugh, in Salt Lake City, several of the cabins from Bryce Canyon and has moved them to his property, planning to remodel them for motel units. Deon Alvey is going to be in the Scout House on Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m., for people to sign up for home assistance. A special musical program was presented in Sacrament Meeting Sunday by members of the choir. Talks were given by Afton Pollock, Malen Mecham, Marian Shakespear, Rex Sandburg, Kathy Shakespear, Maureen Mangum, Karen Ott, Cheri Feltner, Maurietta Syrett, and Bishop William Pollock. Sunny Pollock had her 8th birthday birth-day party Oct. 21. |
