'x-Vv : E I Ai , th ' , , de ' re; I: " r TV Panguitch High School Homecoming Queen Suzette Simkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Simkins, stands with her First Attendant PHS Names Homecoming Royalty S Cll Suzette Simkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Simkins, has been named Panguitch High School Homecoming Queen for 1987-88. She was chosen from among eight well-qualified candidates at the school auditorium on Wednesday, Jan. 20. She sang a solo number titled, "Thank God for Kids." First attendant is Alisha Hatch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Hatch. She played a piano solo entitled en-titled "The Homecoming." Second attendant is Cherish Tebbs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Tebbs. She performed an original gymnastics routine called "Jump." Judges for the event were Kay Lynn Neilson, a teacher in Tropic; Mandy White-Saras, principal of Escalante Elementary School, and Tony Saras, a traveling teacher who spends his time between the Es XI. th( Alisha Hatch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ?. to Hatch, and Second Attendant Cherish T.: stl daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Tebbs. dii re; calante and Bryce Valley schools. One of the additional highlights of the evening was the spirited bidding bid-ding for the cakes that each girl baked. The auction was conducted by Principal Bennett Josie, assisted by Maloy Dodds. The sale netted $450. Tim Tebbs entertained with two musical numbers titled "Louisiana Saturday Night" and "Melodies and Memories." Accompanist for the evening was Jackie Reynolds. Sharing emcee responsioihties were Rick Bumingham and Monica Miller, 1986-87 Homecoming Queen. Other young ladies participating in the contest were Lisa Henrie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell V. Henrie Jr., who performed an original origi-nal reading and displayed her original origi-nal art work; Ronda LeFevre, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. : LeFevre, who offered a voc:! "Take My Breath Away"; S; Black, daughter of Mr. and :. Black, who performed a vo:: titled "If I Only Had a E ::: Kimberly Dalton, daughter o: and Mrs. Bruce Dalton, formed the hula "Lovely . Hands"; and Melissa Hatch, L ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron R. who performed a piano solo t "Ronda alia Turca." Escorts for the young ladies' David Tebbs and Travis Hatch.
