Show AREfJ OBITUARIES v ) Lola S. Lister ROY Lola S. Lister, 75, Roy, died March 23, 1988, in Og-, den, of complications following an automobile accident on March 8. She was born Oct. 2, 1912, in Panguitch, to Virgil Ellis and Clara Dee Riding Smith. ' She was married to Marion Boyd Lister June 22, 1931, Panguitch; later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. She had lived in Panguitch, moving to Toquerville in 1918 where she resided until her mar-, riage. She again lived in Panguitch until 1939. She had lived in Idaho and in Roy since 1946. She graduated from high school in Hurricane where she was valedictorian of her class. She was an active member of the Roy 24th LDS Ward. She had taught Sunday School, Relief Society and Primary. Mrs. Lister had taught in the 4-H and she enjoyed needlework and fishing. Survivors: husband, Roy; sons, daughters, Fred S., Roy; Boyd Clark, San Ardo, Calif.; Mrs. Car-lyle Car-lyle (Marian) Slack, Clearfield; Mrs. Frederick (Sandra) Thomas, Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Ronald (DeAnn) Mounce, American Falls, Idaho; 17 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Ellis R. Smith, California; Virgil Smith, Cedar City; Mrs. Woodrow (Neta) Stapley, North Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Carl (Reta) Morris, Parowan. Funeral services were Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park with Bishop Bish-op Dawn Gatherum of the Roy 24th Ward officiating. William Earl Henderson CANNONVILLE William Earl Henderson, 60, died March 25, 1988, in Salt Lake City. He was born Sept. 19, 1927, Eureka, to LeRoy and Dora Lavina Littlcfield Henderson. He married Norma Goff, Aug. 28, 1957; later divorced. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He spent his early years in Cannonville. He was a member of the sheet metal union. Survivors: son, daughters, Scott, England; Mrs. Gloria Lavi-ty, Lavi-ty, Sandy; Mrs. Jeff (Claudia) Arnold, Salt Lake City; LaNell, Bcnnion; two grandchildren; mother, moth-er, North Salt Lake; brother, Ernie, West Valley City; sister, Joan Cowlcs, North Salt Lake. Funeral services were Tuesday in the Cannonville LDS Ward chapel and interment was in the Cannonville Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield. Earl Davenport Earl Davenport, age 77, died March 21, 1988, in Cedar City. He was born May 6, 1910, in Spry to James Burris and Fannie May LeFevre Davenport. He married Hazel Claudine Tid-wcll Tid-wcll on June 21, 1944, in Annapolis, Annapo-lis, Md. They were later divorced. He married Claire Granger on March 5, 1959, in Carson City, Nev. They were divorced. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He helped organize the Cedar City Horshoe Pitching Club. Survivors: sons, David Earl Davenport, Spokane, Wash.; Bert Davenport, Huntington Beach, Calif.; eight grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Orlo Davenport, St. George; Clara Smith, American Fork; William Leon Davenport, Junction; Julia Johensen, Mt. Pleasant; James Burris Davenport, Vida Ncwby and Ivan Davenport, all Kearns; Tom Davenport, West Valley City; and Harold Davenport, Portland, Ore. Funeral services were held March 25 at the Cedar City First LDS Ward chapel. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction di-rection of Southern Utah Mortuary. |
