Show By Ella Adair Mark and Barbara LeFevre are the new leaders for the Young Adult group in the Tropic LDS Ward. Damon Brinkerhoff and Melinda Ott were baptized into the LDS church on April 18. Mr. and Mrs. Clive Bybee met all of their family at Zion National Park for Easter picnic. The Bryce Valley Elementary School children and Cheri Feltner are to be congratulated for the outstanding out-standing program they presented to their parents and friends. Matt Ott, grandson of Fay Pollock Pol-lock visited with Mr. and Mrs. De-Var De-Var Pollock. Members of the LDS Single Adult group met at Minnie Niel-son's Niel-son's for their Family Home Evening and enjoyed a pot luck dinner. Minnie was happy to have them come as she is home bound, for a time. The Pahreah Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers met Monday with Zora Bell Pollock was hostess. The lesson was given by Ann Griffin on church historians. histori-ans. Dixie Shakespear gave the history of Michael Golden Lloyd, Jr. Weekend guests at the LaMar LeFevre home were daughter-in-law Stacey LeFevre and her mother Jerry Stroud. Richard Jones was an overnight guest at Ella Adairs. He and Bonnie Bon-nie Miles attended the Governor's Conference on Tourism in St. Ge orge where they explained their tours to the group. Several Tropic citizens are nursing nurs-ing spring colds and having a difficult diffi-cult time getting rid of them. Several Sev-eral adults have also had chicken pox for the second and third time and all claim they are not in their second childhood. LaRene Munson is in California attending the wedding of a grandson; grand-son; the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Colvin. Ann Griffin hosted the adult LDS family home evening group at her home Monday. Violet Little-field Little-field gave the lesson. The Escalante LDS Stake Single Adult Fireside was held in Tropic Sunday evening where Bishop Rod Syrett was in charge of the program. pro-gram. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Shakespear are the parents of a baby boy, born April 13 in Page, Ariz. The infant has two little brothers to welcome him home. Proud grandparents are Rhoda Shafer and Clare and Marylec Ramsay. The two older boys are in Tropic with their Ramsay grandparents grandpar-ents for a week. Lowell Mecham was in Salt Lake City during the week on school business. Dennis Wintch was in Tropic laying new carpet in the Luella Mangum home. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ott were in St. George and on to Salt Lake City for medical care. The water rigs have left and work has started on the new pump house for the water well. It will be great to have the project completed. The Marty Otts from Wind River National Park in South Dakota visited for a week with Mr. and Mrs. DeVar Pollock. Glade Stewart visited the Reginald Regi-nald Stewarts. |
