Show Tropic Hero By Ronnie Brinkerhoff 679-8734 Correction for last week's column. Hunter McLain Mccham's great-grandmother was Angeline Mccham, not Ahlstrom. Bryce Valley High School's Juniors were seen about town gathering potted plants and other needed items in preparation for their Junior Prom last Friday night. The gym took on a transformation as bleachers were removed and decorating began. Pepsi and Mountain Dew were consumed by the gallon as Juniors decorated into the night while chilling out to music by "Live" and "Candlelight." The prom was a success, beautifully done. Morp (prom spelled backward) which is the dance following the night after the Junior Prom was reportedly "awesome" and a little weird, with some dance goers wearing their tuxedo jackets and cutoff denim jeans. Parents of the Juniors are probably feeling less stressed, a little older and poorer but then events such as this help to remind us of our own youth and good times. Dixie Shakespcar reported visitors this past week: her brother, LeFair Hall and wife Vickie from Boulder; the Shakespcar's granddaughter Dana and husband Greg Bullock of Cedar City and their son, Lin and twin daughters Sam and Andy also visited. The next day, Margaret visited and lunchconcd with her four brothers and four sisters and their spouses at Chuck-a-Rama. Then it was a drive back to Nancy's house for a special birthday party and dinner for son-in-law Bill. The third morning of their trip, Margaret and Margie drove to Hebcr City to visit Margaret's son and daughter-in-law Vernal and Linda Mccham.
