Show Light Up Free Once again Garkane Power Association As-sociation will to provide free electricity elec-tricity for decorative Christmas street lighting systems in the cities and towns served by the Rural Electric Elec-tric Cooperative. In a memorandum sent to community com-munity leaders, Garkane's General Manager, Carl R. Albrecht said his company's employees will also be available to assist towns to "help brighten the holiday season." Albrecht also noted Christmas lights cannot be run across streets and must be installed in accordance with the National Electric Code to avoid creating an unsafe condition for anyone working with the lights. The effective dates established by Garkane for this free electrical service begin Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25 and extend through Monday, Mon-day, Jan. 3, 1994 from 5 p.m. to 12 midnight each day. |
