Show By Marta Peterson 834-5306 Bryce Canyon is now a perfect cross country skiing park. The last storm deposited over a foot of fresh powder. This is rather early in the season for such flawless skiing conditions, but greatly appreciated by the many skiing fanatics that live in the housing area. The John Morlock family enjoyed en-joyed a week of working on their Terlingua, Texas home. They are building it themselves and took the opportunity to work on the house while the weather was cooler in Texas. The Bryce Canyon staff was greatly reduced over the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving holiday. Many employees traveled great distances to spend the holiday with their families, while others were able to stay in the area and enjoy the beauty of Bryce with their families. The snow removal maintenence staff should be congratulated for the high quality of work they did during our most recent storm. They are a skilled crew that works long hours to ensure the park roads are plowed and safe for travel. Heather Stover, a new maintenence main-tenence employee, arrived in the park last week. She transferred from Denver and is excited to begin her new life at Bryce Canyon. She is currently staying in Tropic, but looking for a permanent place to live. |
