Show Former Teacher Dies In Bountiful By Lenora LeFevre BOULDER Thomas Kemner Mcmmott, age 86, died on Oct. 2, 1993 at his home in Bountiful.. Mcmmott taught school, the 5-8th 5-8th grades, as the principal in the old school house that burned down in 1935 in Boulder. He spent a life lime as a scoutmaster scout-master and was also a leader in the LDS Young Men and Young Ladies Mutual organization. See Former Teacher Page 5A FormerTeacher From Page 1 Thomas K. Memmott and Ermine Er-mine Leavitt were married and were the parents of four children, Emma Kay, Muriel Dawn, Dclan and Thomas. Ermine, a victim of rheumatic fever, died June 7, 1948. He later married Julie May, who had two children by a previous marriage. While in Boulder, Memmott was First Counselor and Franklin Hansen Second Counselor to Bishop Joel Arthur Wilson in the Boulder LDS Ward. Memmott later taught school in the communities of Tropic and Escalante before moving to Bountiful to live. As a young man, Memmott filled an LDS mission to the South Sea Islands and later in life, he and his wife filled an LDS mission in the state of Georgia. |
