Show County Files Cross-Appeal In Burr Case Garfield Count has filed a cross-appeal cross-appeal to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver challenging the failure of the federal trial court to award damages and costs to the county in its Nov. 30, 1987, decision deci-sion in Salt Lake City on the Burr Trail Road. On the same day the county filed its cross-appeal, its motion to dissolve dis-solve the order of temporary stay was denied by the Court of Appeals. Ap-peals. The decision means that the county remains under the stay, preventing pre-venting any work on the Burr Trail Road pending the outcome of an appeal by environmentalists. The environmentalist coalition has challenged the decision by federal Judge Aldon Anderson to allow the county to proceed with improvements improve-ments on the road. On Jan. 26, the Bureau of Land. Management filed its notice of appeal ap-peal to the Denver court. The BLM will be represented in Denver at the ', March 4 hearing by attorneys j Robert Klarquist and Jacques Gelin from the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. |
