Show Cedar City BLM District Seeks Board Members Nominations for the Cedar City District Advisory Council are currently cur-rently being accepted by the Bureau of Land Management. The council has 10 members, who are appointed to staggered three-year terms. Members are appointed ap-pointed by the Secretary of the Interior to represent eight categories of interest: elected official or general government, environmental protection, non-renewable resources, re-sources, public-at-large, recreation, transportationrights-of-way, renewable re-newable resources and wildlife. District advisory councils are appointed under provisions of the Federal Land Policy and Management Manage-ment Act of 1976. The councils provide advice to the BLM district managers on programs and policies concerning management of the public lands within their respective districts. Nominations should include the name, address, telephone number biographical sketch, and category ot interest in which the nominee appears best qualified to offer advice. ad-vice. Members are selected from among persons who are qualified through education, training, knowledge, or experience.
