Early detection is the best defense de-fense against breast cancer, a disease which strikes one out of 10 women in the United States. With the improvement in mammographic technology and treatment, breast cancer can be found at the earliest possible stage, a time when chances for cure are nearly 100 percent. Holy Cross Hospital's Mobile Mammography Screening Program is scheduled to be at the Panguitch LDS Stake Center Monday, April 10; the LDS Stake Center, 80 South Center in Escalante Tuesday, April 11; and Cannonville Clinic in Bryce Valley Wednesday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Staffed with certified x-ray technologists tech-nologists and equipped with the most up-to-date medical equipment, this mobile unit provides accessible, accessi-ble, low-cost screening to the Women of the area. Women age 35 and older can schedule an appointment appoint-ment for this 15-30 minute simple , -ray procedure by calling 676-8800676-8215 in Panguitch; 826-4397826-4811 in Escalante; and 679-8500 in Bryce Valley.
