Show YCC Applications Being Accepted At Bryce Canyon Bryce Canyon National Park will be accepting applications for this summer's Youth Conservation Corps'( YCC) program: 1 -' -; ' Applications1 'can ' "be " bbtiiifrid , from the principals of schools in Panguitch, Tropic and Escalante, or by telephoning Bryce Canyon National Na-tional Park, at 801834-5322. Applications should be mailed to Bryce Canyon National Park, Bryce Canyon, Utah 84717. They must be postmarked no later than May 6, 1989. Selections will be limited to no more than eight enrollecs for the period from June 5 through July 31, 1989. Enrollecs will be expected ex-pected to work the entire period. Applicants must be 15 years old by June 1 and no older than 18 by August 30. They must have a desire to work in the outdoors and must be able to obtain a work permit and have a Social Security card. Former YCC crew, members are not eligible if they were previously, enrolled for more mm mTce -weeks, in adrjirion;' selected youths must obtain a medical certification indicaung their physical and mental fitness for the work, and have written parental or legal guardian consent. Enrollees must provide their own transportation transporta-tion to the Bryce Canyon Maintenance Mainte-nance Area. The YCC program offers the opportunity for young people to work in the outdoors toward the accomplishment ac-complishment of environmental awareness.
