Show Escalante High School News By Kandice Nelson The doors at Escalante High School opened to the new school year with students in high spirits. Everyone was excited and ready to make this school year the best one yet. Students started off the school year with a back-to-school assembly where all new students, including new seventh graders, were introduced. This year's "Pride Contest" and its rules were outlined by faculty members. In the Pride Contest, classes compete in helping the school, the community and in developing school pride. Thus far, EHS has had two pep assemblies and EHS faculty members agree that they were the best ever. The PTA sponsored a back-to-school dance and the Juniors had a fund raising car wash and dance. On Sept. 4, school pictures were taken for the year. A "super" journalism class promises top performance for this year.
