Show Homer McEwen HURRICANE Homer McEwen, 76, died Feb. 19 at his home in Hurricane. He was born Nov. 6, 1906 in Panguitch to Edward R. and Nellie LeFevre McEwen. He married Idella Mangum, Aug. 6, 1951 in Phoenix, Ariz, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. McEwen was involved in various businesses in Panguitch, including a , grocery store, saw mill, a car agency and a motel. He lived in the Orem area for about 10 years where he was involved in the real estate business. In 1953 they moved to Henderson, Nev. and in 1963 he retired and moved back to Panguitch. The McEwens have spent the last eight winters in Hurricane. Survivors wife; two sons, Raymond, Delta; Orlo Kay, St. George; two daughers, JanNell Veater and Mrs, Mike (Judy) Meldrum both of Orem; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, and one sister, Wallace, Las Vegas, Nev. Clem, Panguitch; Mrs. Nettie Dowdell, Glendale, Calif. Services were Wednesday in the Panguitch 1st LDS Ward chapel. Burial was in the Panguitch City Cemetery by Metcalf-Campbell Mortuary. |
