Show 'Circuit BreaTcer' Applications Are Due by May 1 The Senior Citizen Property Tax Creidt applications, also known as "Circuit Breakers," are now available at the Garfield County Courthouse in Panguitch. In order to qualify for the credit on the 1983 property taxes, a person must be 65 years or older on Dec. 31, 1983. Total household income for 1982 must have been less than $10,000.00. Widows and widowers who have not remarried may qualify regardless of age if they meet the income requirements. Applicants must be legal residents of Utah for the entire current year, must have owned, and occupied a residence as principle dwelling place on Jan. 1, and must furnish their own chief support. Applications must be returned on or before May 1. Assistance may be obtained at the courthouse. |
