Show DAV Officer Sets Visit To Panguitch Martin Blaustein, a representative of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) will be in Panguitch on September 23 at the Job Service Center to serve veterans and their family members. Agent Orange and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder are two important problems related to the Vietnam veteran and his or her family. Veterans who believe they were exposed to Agent Orange should be examined by the Veterans Administration. It is estimated that 500,000-600,000 veterans may be affected by Post Traumatic Stress. Some of the symptoms include: guilt over surviving when others did not; anxiety or nervousness; depression or deep sadness; nightmares or flashbacks in which the veteran experiences a disaster; or jumpiness, especially to sounds that remind the veteran of the disaster. Blaustein will be ready .to answer questions and to assist veterans and their families in seeking answers to these problems, lie will also assist any veteran or widow in any matters concerning veterans benefits. He stresses that the service is free and veterans need not be members of the DAV to qualify for assistance. |
