Show Escalante Chit Chat Fay Alvey Orilla Cowles is home to finish recovering from hip surgery. Coleen Imlay brought them along with Idella Imley. She stayed to help and the otner sisters, Margnee Schow and Twila Michelangelo came to visit. Glenna Banks was taken to Garfield Memorial Hospital. John Foster and DeLoy Christenen are also there. Luille Spencer is out of the hosptial at the home of the Talmage Taylors. Stams Mecham took Fon Mecham to Provo for a checkup. They attended the wedding of Debbie Porter. Maxine and Allen Shirts, Cedar City helped Morris Shirts celebrate his birthday anniversary. Jane Woolsey is improving, Clema and Roe Barney, Page, visited her. Mayor Mohr Christensen went to Salt Lake City to request a grant for the new water system. Thelma Johnson accompanied him to visit - family members. Crockett Dumas went to North Carolina for the funeral services of his father. Hank Bolton is home after attending a family reunion in Iowa. His brother, Cecil and wife Lola, California visited here. The parents of Tony Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Larson, a sister Ann Hicken, two grandsons, Jeffrey and Travis Larson from San Gabriel, Calif, spent some time here on the Red Rocks. Ann Spencer and girls joined Carl Spencer here from their vacation in Hawaii. Ivan and Nelda Willis visited son, Lowell and family in Orem and came home to welcome Maureen and Wayne Dean from San Diego, Calif. Rulon and Manila Jolly and some family members came from Cedar City to redo the kitchen of Marie Hall. Mina Porter accompanied the Kenneth Griffins to Provo then attended the Haws family reunion in Layton. The Jerry Taylors came form Salt Lake City and brought Evadean Liston to spend a week in her home. Smith and Betty Alvey are home after attending a Roundy family reunion in Seattle, Wash. They drove to Idaho Falls and joined Ralph and Wavie Siple for the remainder of the trip, visiting family members en route going and coming. Their son Frank left for Taft, Calif, where he will attend college with a full scholarship and a part time job arranged by Ferrell Roundy. Marlene Stowe came from Wyoming to get her boys who were visiting their grandparents, the Delane Griffins. Leah and Brenda went back to Salt Lake City with them and they all had a day at Lagoon. Then attended the wedding in Provo of Debbie Porter. Ann has brought them home. Marlene Haws attended postal meetings in Price then went on into Wyoming to visit son Robert and family. Maria Richins is here a guest at the Haws home. Hank Bolton, Leah and Brenda Griffin, Hilda Roundy and Fay Alvey went to Panguitch for a county meeting, picking up Dave Rose and Ella Adair. From Panguitch on to Parowan for 5 county meetings. |
