Pollock Pitches Cats To 8-5 Baseball Win Behind the gutty six hit pitching of Troy Pollock, the Panguitch Bobcats clawed their way back Into the Region Twelve championship chase, with a crucial 8 to S victory over a tough Escalante nine. The Cats could muster only six hits off Moqui pitching but were able to produce with runners in scoring position. Seven of the Cat's scores came at the expense of Escalante ace, Richard Lymans, as Tod Trout blasted the Bobcat's first home run of the season, a "frozen rope" shot over the center-field-fence. Tod Clark" and Troy Pollock each chipped in with runs producing two baggers. On the mound, Pollock got in hot water in the third Inning; yielding back-to-back home runs but then bore down to close out the Moquls with -two runs oi twoWts in the final four frames while registering 11 strike outs. |
