Show Cedar Native Gets Seminary Position Rodney George Parry, I son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Parry of Cedar City, has recently joined the staff at the Panguitch Seminary of the LDS Church. He was reared in Cedar City and graduated from Cedar High School in 1972. He went on to further his education at Southern Utah State College and received his Bachelor degree in German and Biology Composite in 1979. Over the years he has held many leadership positions. He acted as band president in high school, Leo Club President, Sigma Gamma Chi president, LDSSA president and was I a member of Sigma Gamma Chi and Utah National Guard. He received the "Eagle" award in scouting, the "Duty to God" award, Outstanding CHS student in 1972. and was Soldier of the Year in 1978 in the 222-FA, Cedar City. Mr. Parry has been an active member of the church all his life and served as a missionary in the Germany North Mission. He married the former Kathryn Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don B. Christensen of Cedar City and they have one son. Panguitch Seminary is an integral part of the seminary and institute eight-year program designed to provide religious instruction from early teen through college years. Seminary programs (grades nine through twelve) and institute classes (college level) are being conducted in 50 states and 60 countries and territories. Kodney Parry |
