Show Dentist Opens Panguitch Practice Bringing a background of fine training and experience, David C. Mason, D.M.D., will begin an associate practice with Dr. Wallace Lee two days a week in Dr. Lee's office on Second east. Dr. Mason attended the University of Oregon dental school when he graduated in 1963. After practicing for four years in Oregon, he established a practice in Vancouver and Vernon, British Columbia, where he spent the next 10 years. While there he also served a small mining camp with a satellite practice where the only means of access was by boat or plane. Dr. Mason made regular flights into the area to serve the residents, noting that an important by-product of the region was the fine hunting and fishing it afforded. Avid outdoor sports fans, Mason and his family enjoy southern Utah where they are able to hunt and fish and snow ski. They will divide their time between Hurricane and Panguitch while their youngest son completes his final year of high school in Hurricane. Dr. Mason and his wife, Maideen, are parents of four sons and a married daughter. Their eldest son returned recently from an LDS mission in the Illinois, Chicago, Mission. He and two of his brothers will attend Brigham Young University this fall. Both parents are active members of the LDS church. Dr. Mason has served in the scouting program and on the high council while his wife is currently engaged in genealogical work with the German Extraction program. |
