Show Three Garfield area families are sponsofing 4-11 Japanese exchange students for month long visits in the United States. Shown gathered above on arrival day are Japanese Students At 'Home' in Garfield Three Garfield County area families will be among families from 22 Utah counties to host Japanese young people, all 4-H'ers, in a month-long exchange program conducted through the Labo Educational Center, from USU in Logan. Mr. ami Mrs. Delane Griffin, Escalante, will host one of the Japanese girls, Yumiko Asai, 14 years old. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Lundstrom, Panguitch, will be the host family for the other girl in the county, Kazumi Higuchi, age 13. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jolley, Panguitch, with five sons of their own,- will provide - a home for the only boy, aged 13, Futoshi Okamoto. Arriving in Salt Lake City one week Mrs. Nick Lundstrom and Mrs. Henry Jolley with their own children and visiting young Japanese students. ago, the three Garfield County visitors, along with some 97 other Japanese youth participated in a two-day orientation before traveling to the various counties to spend the month with their individual host families. About this same time, 20 active Utah 4-H'ers left for a month stay with hosting families in Japan. This is the seventh year Utah has participated in the Labo exchange.
