Show Hatch Happenings A large percent of our ward members attended stake conference at Panguitch. Word was received by Doyle Hancock and family of the death of his mother, Cleora Chad-burn. She was in northern California with her daughter. The Hancocks and Beth Mangum went to Veyo where funeral services were held. Several of our local people attended funeral services in Panguitch for Belle C. Cooper. Maggie Barnhurst, Shirley, bhauna and Monica Wilhelm were guests at the June Sanders home in Panguitch. Visiting Maggie were Bert and Christy Barnhurst, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Austin Barnhurst, Nevada; Austin came to celebrate his birthday with his mother and other relatives. They invited the Dallas Bar-nhursts for dinner. Those from here going on the senior citizens mini bus with a group from Panguitch were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Evans, Lilith Wilson and Velma Huntington. They all went to the St. George LDS Temple but Velma stayed to visit the Garn Hun-tingtons and husband Oliver. Garn brought Velma and Oliver home. After Garn had attended career day at the Panguitch High School they returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Sawyer, Cedar City visited at the David Sawyers, They all visited in Antimony at the Ken Roberts. They all enjoyed a cookout in honor of David's birthday. Arnold Sawyer was rushed to the Valley View Hospital, Cedar City with a heart attack. He spent several days in intensive care and is still in the hospital. Verda took her camper pickup and stayed in Cedar City to be close to the hospital. Kent Sawyer accompanied Robert Tebbs and David Lee, Panguitch to Parowan. Gwen and Charley Crofts, Vernal and I ret a Burrows, Ogden visited the Lynn Evans' during the weekend. They all went to Hurricane to visit the Deloy Evans family and see the new baby boy. Mrs. Lynn Savage and children, Antimony visited with the Nile Sawyers. Nile and Carma met the Lynn Savages one day and went to Rich field with them. Mrs. Theora Heap spent the past week in Cedar City tending Don and Deanna Heaps' children while they went on a trip to Hawaii. Alyce and Annie Ranae Henderson, Tanya, Hollie and Jacee Christen, Kanab visited Velma Huntington, Monday. Gail Ducket is now second vice president of Color Country. Congratulations Gail. Visiting Gail for the past week was daughter Lynn and son Tyler Carpenter and friend, Moab and the children of the Randy Hatches while Debbie was in the hospital. Verene Sawyer spent the weekend in Kanab with her folks. The Karl Lowders visited a few days in Minersville with the Larry Baileys. |
