Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair 679-8648 Gordon Pollock took his parents to Salt Lake City while Virg had a medical checkup. Angelyn Mecham is a patient in the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo. Richard Mecham has been a patient in the Veteran's Hospital in Salt Lake City. The Ira Littlefields made a trip to Hurricane to visit with their daughter and family, and to help Jim celebrate his birth day. Their granddaughter had just returned home from the hospital, having had surgery. Maureen Mangum was hostess for an Amway party. The Carl Syretts have a new grandson born to Karleen and Mike Muir in Wyo. They made a trip over there to see the new grandson. The Obie Shakespears had all of their family home except McKaliff to hear Kelly give his mission report. Present were Esther, Elna, Vance and family, L. Dee and family, Mavis and family, Bruce Lloyd and Martin Jeffrey. Sunday will be a stake fireside in Escalante at 6 p.m. All young people of the ward are invited to attend. The program in sacrament meeting was put on by the Obie Shakespears. Speakers were June, L. Dee, Vance, Bruce Lloyd and Martin Jeffrey. Danny Shakespear and son J. U . the Rett Shakespear family, Chad and Joan Shakespear were In Tropic overthe . weekend at the E. R. Shakespears. The Roy Willis' went to -the-Manti LDS Temple. They then went on to Park City for a wedding reception for the newlyweds. A reception will be held for them in the Tropic Cultural Hall, Feb. 12. All friends of the young couple are invited to attend. The Kent Cottams were recent Tropic visitors. The Escalante Stake So Dear To My Heart Night was held in Tropic Tuesday night. Special guests from the General Board were present, as well as Connie Campbell, a former MIA Maid teacher in Tropic. Loretta and Jody Purdy and sons visited with the Loral Bartons over the weekend. |
