Show Hatch Happenings fteva Lewder T1S-4TO The L. L. Forter famUy reunion was held at the Jesse Wilson residence here In Hatch. There were 65 present Those attending were the Karl Wilsons and Sarah and LaRue Porter, St. George; Ted and Laura Elmer and children, Tremonton; Bob and Evelyn Owens and children, Logan; Jerry and LaPriel Anderson and children, Lehi; DeRell and Sarah Lou Sudweeks and children. Tropic; Zelma Johnson and children, Or derville; Iris Masterson and daughter Elaine and children, Kanab; Kent, Kay and Jared Wilson, Parowan; Lyle and Marie Davis and children, Centerville and Robert Wilson. The D. II. Evans family Joined with the Hatch Ward for the 24th July celebration with 151 present. In the evening they net in the cultural hall for a business meeting and family reunion. Dee Roundy was hostess this year, they had a lovely program after which a big dance was held. The family of Effel IUggs held their family reunion at the Duck Creek Campground. The Leland Riggs family were in charge of events. After the family dinner the time was spent with a report from each family on the main events of their lives in the past year. The S. J. Barnhurst family reunion was held July 25 in the evening in the Cultural Hall here. The E. F. Tureks and Lt. Col. Edward Turek and family went to Cedar City to meet the plane as 2nd Lt. Gary Turek from Air Force base in Calif, arrived on it He visited here until Sunday. Kelly Avery and 2 friends, Provo visited her folks Mr. and Mrs. James Avery. The Homer Duttons and Marcie Dutton, St. George visited in town. Also Mr. and Mrs. Desmon Deuel and family, Nev. Visitors at the Layton Barneys were the Craig Barneys, Mrs. Vern Barney and the Vic Gordons. The Max Burrows, Fredonia visited in town. Word was received that a baby boy arrived in a Cedar City hospital to Bishop and Mrs. Mervin Barnhurst. He has 4 sisters at home. Grandparents are the Eric Bamhursts and the Virgil Pollocks. Mr. and Mrs. David Sawyer received word of a new grand son. He arrived In the Cedar City hospital and his parents are Kerry and Marsha Sawyer, Las Vegas. May went to Cedar City to see the new grandson and brought Jeffrey back to visit, David, May and Kent took him back to Cedar City on Sunday where he met his parents and accompanied them home. Visiting the Eric Bamhursts again this week were Mr. and Mrs. Mem Bowers, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Scott, Salt Lake City, the Kenneth Barnhurst, St Lewis, Mis. and Danny Barnhurst Visiting the Arnold Sawyers were the Ivan Barneys, Richfield. Kenneth Barney and friend, Cedar City visited the LaMar Barneys. Visiting Mrs. Ardell Riggs were the Duke Larsens, the Kay Browns, the Dale Porters and the Dan Chlpmans arid daughter, Marilyn Riggs. Mrs. Virginia Rice and her mother, Calif, are here at her summer home. The Hank Mahans visited in the Payson hospital this past week with her sister Faun Rothlesberger. They left for Calif. The Pat Price family, Cedar City visited 2 days with the Bruce Daltons. |
