Show CannonvUIe Betty Henderson C7M5IZ Maude Reynolds fell while at the home of Lark and Bea Reynolds and was taken to the hospital in Panguitch with a badly broken arm. She was later moved to the hospital in Richfield. Allison Twitchell has been here from Salt Lake City visiting her grandparents, Vaughn and Mae Twitchell. On Friday Mae and Lori took her home. Lori remained in Salt Lake City for a week of visiting and to do some school shopping. Arjean Twitchell went to Cedar City this week. She will be going there to school this fall. The Laurels had their final lesson of the year on Tuesday evening it had been postponed from an earlier date. They concluded the evening with a party for their mother. Attending were Marie and Bonnie Neilson, Susan and Bea Reynolds, Kay and Louise Mangum and Betty Henderson. At Beatrice and Kendall Duttons this week were Merle Allen and children, Fredonia; Nola Davis and family, Kanab and Melvin and Jean Dutton, Fredonia. While Mel and Jean were here their little girl became ill and was taken to the Panguitch Hospital. Don and Louise Mangum and family went up on the East Fork on a camping trip. Bonnie and Betty Nelson went to St. George on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Elmer and family of Tremonton were here on Saturday to visit Ira and Julia Elmer. They also visited Rachel Thompson. Bishop and Dene Hamblin were the speakers at sacrament meeting. The children sang a musical number. vl Don and Dixie iMunson visited with Daisy and Irving Johnson" on Sunday. Martin Stock, Gunnison dropped in on Bert and Anna Stock for supper before going on to Barker Reservoir for some camping and fishing. Jeff joined his brother on Friday evening. When Jeff came home he had a really a nice catch of fish. At Aunt Fern Hendersons this week were Pat and Ora Wathen, Calif.; Otha and Iris Henderson and son, Cleveland; Ned and Cleotha Henderson, Orderville. Lament Davis came from Cedar City and stayed the night to visit his parents, Mel da and Sherman Davis. Mary LeFevre and Shirley Barker came daily to check on their father and to boost their morale. Shermans condition remains about the same. Myrtle Baldwin is on the road to recovery from the surgery on her knee. Already she is going to therapy and learning to walk on crutches. As soon as she has this mastered she will be coming home. Gloria and Doyle Clark took their niece, Lori Phillips home to Salt Lake City. She has been a recent visitor at the Clark home. Krlstlne and Cherly Sud-weeks dropped in on Elva and Marlon Clark the other day with a box of apricots and then went on to St. George to the Sudweek Reunion. Marion Clark and sons, Page were here for a visit. Grant stayed on and is working at Pink Cliffs. Kelly Bowles has been here visiting the Clark family and staying with Steve and Verjean. This weekend her parents and the rest of the family came to do some fishing and to take Kelly home. Her parents are Kurt and Lynne Kennedy of Sandy. Elva and Marion were in St. George on their temple assignment. This week they will be in Salt Lake City for a brief vacation. George Thompson and Laurie Holley are in Calif, for a special school. Taking care of Rachel Thompson while Laurie is gone will be Ada Thompson. She has been assisted by Julia and Leo Hall, Cedar City and by Kar-men Smith and baby. Ann Reece is here to mind the store while Ada is busy with Grammy. Food for thought: Sunday is the golden clasp that binds together the volume of the week. |
