Mr O'Donal passed away In February. Don and Neudle Greene and family and Don Moore went to Kanab to the christening of the Greene's grandson Lloyd J. He Is the son of Lloyd and Linda MUlett. Mrs. Hulda Thomas, Leeds and Mrs. Ann Jones, Cedar City were welcome visitors in town this week. Violet Robinson and Norma Talbot went to Salt Lake City to see Janice Bernson. Janice has been ill and is going to have surgery on her knees. Norma had a check-up with her doctor while there. Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Stokes brought Mrs. Fenella Sevy over from Cedar City to visit friends and relatives. She is feeling fairly well and would like to get back to her home. Norman McKee spent a week at Camp Williams at a training session. Hazel Hatch, Pres. elect. Shanna Goulding, Henrieville, Pres. Margaret Mecham, Tropic and Delford Goff, Antimony, board members of the Garfield County Teachers Asociation attended UEA Negotiation Classes in Salt Lake City. Saturday the Southern Utah Teachers are having a metric workshop In Richfield. Mr. Dennis Lee, South Jordan was here for a week with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Lee. He took in the ballgames and saw his old friend and relatives. Herbert Worthen is living here for awhile with his folks, Hazel Houston and Hope Goulding. Stanley Tebbs is home after being in the hospital for two weeks. He still has to take it easy for quite awhile. Henrie Jr. has gone to Kansas City for two weeks schooling of the Western Auto Stores. He will take over ownership of the Panguitch store April 1. Mrs. Norma Crompton, Cedar City will be here with Mrs. Henrie while Vee is gone. Mr. and Mrs. Kern Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Riggs, Mrs. Mildred Riggs and Mrs. Ella Tebbs attended funeral services for Kenneth Becks trom in South Gate, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Beckstrom and Mr, and Mrs. Ronald Beckstrom, Salt Lake City came down and accompanied the Owens mere. Stanley Schow brought his parents, ouy and Elba home from Salt Lake Saturday. Guy j had been in the LDS Hospital for three weeks. He is Improving and glad to be noma. Beth Hatch, Liza Moor, Emma Houston and Ruth Henrie spent two days at the St, George Temple last week. On the way home Emma stopped In Cedar City for a few days with her daughters, Reva Orton and Barbara Mitchell. The literary Club met March IS In the city room. The high school chorus sang two songs under the direction of Mr. Eynon and Verl Matthews showed movies of the color country, hostesses were Emma Houston, Kate Church and Fay Lynn. Louise, Corrine and Kami Englestead visited In Kanab with LaRae and Cabby Moore and boys. Then they stopped In Orderville to the ball games. Mary Ann Church, Mary Henrie and Ruth Henrie went to Boulder City, Nev. to visit LaVera and Lyie Hennig and Amy and Larell Stevenson. LaVera and Amy were hostesses at a dinner in honor of the vlstors. Twenty-one relatives were present. Don and Ivy Hyatt ot Richfield visited with Rulon and Fay Ella Prince. Ethel York and grandson and Margie Prince, . Hatch also visited with them. Alta Orton and JoAnn Jones went to Salt Lake City where JoAnn had major surgery at the University Hospital. Glen and Barbara Leach went up to be with them. Qeola Leltheser, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Johnson of Ely, Nev. and Creta Reno of Youngton spent the weekend with Alta Orton. They all attended the funeral services of their Uncle Ezra Bird In Orel evllle, Saturday. |
