Show Fishing Waters Open In Several So. Utah Areas ANTIMONY Some areas of Sevier, Piute and Wayne counties are still open for fishing, even though Utah's general fishing season ended Nov 30. Lyn Briggs, Antimony, conservation officer with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, said that the current license year ends Friday, and new licenses must be purchased before fishermen may fish these areas, however. Anglers are allowed to fish in Sevier County on waters below the forest boundary except Koosharem Reservoir and Otter Creek Reservoir, Briggs explained. Piute Reservoir, Sevier River and East Fork Sevier River below Otter Creek Reservoir are open to year-round angling in Piute County. In Wayne County, aU fishing waters below the forest boundary are open except MiU Meadow Reservoir, the officer explained. Cougar hunters are also reminded that permits are not valid after Jan. 31 without a 1975 license. Cat hunters are also advised to carry their old 1974 license to eliminate confusion. |
