Show Graduation Slated Next Week For 72 Seniors in Garfield Schools Commencement exercises are scheduled (or three Garfield County high schools next weekend. Seventy-tour students will graduate from Panguitch, Bryce Valley and Escalante high schools. Panguitch High School will graduate 32 students, Thursday, May 29 at 8:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium, while Bryce Valley rites for 14 are at the same time in Tropic and Escalante is scheduled May 30 for 28. The prelude and recessional music will be played by Sandra C. llolman and Robert H. Hassell for the PUS program. They will also accompany the special musical numbers performed during the program with Mrs. Barbara Heaton conducting. The class will sing three songs and a number will be sung by Laurie Holman, Jaynell Crosby, Karla Cooper, Barbara Roe, Bonnie Riggs and Richard Oldham. Introduction of graduates will be given by Cindy Taylor and Karla Cooper. These presentation, "Where one door closes another is opened" will be presented by Jana Gilles. Jaynell Crosby will give the welcome address and Gary Church, studentbodv president, will Introduce the guest speaker, Clarence R. Allen, professor of geophysics, California College of Technology, Pasadena. Mayor Wallace G. Lee will present scholarship awards. Panguitch High School Principal, R. Alden Black, will present the graduates while Wm. L. Gillies, president of the Garfield County School Board will present the diplomas. Michael Henrie will give the farewell address. Laurie Holman will give the invocation Barbara Roe the benediction. Prospective graduates are: Cindy Allen, Doris Barney, Janell Barney. Steven Crosby, Bud Dodds, Mike Greenhalgh, Michael Henrie, Jim Johnson, David LeFevre, Bobby Joe Nay, Richard Oldham, Clint Pollock, James Tebbs and Jon Watt. Christine Q Evans will graduate as an adult student. tropic Fourteen students will graduate from Bryce Valley High school May 29 at 8 00 p.m in the Bryce Valley High School Gymnasium. Brant Barton will give the invocation followed by a song by the graduates. The welcome address will be given by Lydia Pollock, and the class history will be given by Kim Alvey and David Matthews. Kathy Ott and Kim Ott will give talks and the senior girls will present a song. Clare Ramsay will introduce the guest speaker, Joseph L. Allen, Director of L.D.S. Institute of Religion at Thatcher. George Jolley, principal will present the class and Lamar Feltner, school board member will award diplomas. The graduates will present another song and the benediction will be given by Jay Johnson. ESCALANTE Twenty-eight students will graduate from Escalante High School, Saturday, May 30 at 8 00 p.m in the Escalante South Ward Chapel Has president, Reed Munson v, ill give the welcoming address Valedictorian and saluatorian addresses will be given by Rayola Moosman and Greg Vidrine. The class history and prognostication will be given by class members Musicals will also be by class members The guest speaker is Dennis Lott, former principal of Escalante High School Escalante High School principal, Sherrill Lamb, will present the graduates and Ivan Willis, board member will award diplomas.
