Show Hatch Happenings BY REV A LOWDER Martha Regina and Manley Lane of Copper Mine, Arizona, were over night guests at the Calvin Wilsons last week. The Wilsons went to Provo Friday to court where the Wilford Lanes had little. Chris adopted to them, then Saturday the Wilsons accompanied the Lans through the Provo Temple where they had Chris sealed to them. The Wilsons stayed over Sunday and attended church with the Lanes. Phillip Bailey and friend Chuck Terry of Mtlford were overnight guests at the Bruce Daltons. last week. Wednesday Hope Dalton took Bonnie and Kimberly to Milford to visit her folks the John Baileys. Thursday Bonnie and Kimberly accompanied her cousin and children to Salt Lake City to have her leg checked. Thursday Bruce went to Milford and went to Salt Lake City with the Larry Baileys and attended a wedding of their cousin. Hope went to Parowan and v'v ited overnight and brought grandson Brandt Stubbs home with her the Wayne Stubbs came for him and spent the weekend with the Daltons. Visiting the Jesse Wilsons during the week were the Karl Wilsons of Cedar and the Richard Wilsons of Green River. Richard and family were en-route to St. George where they were home hunting as he plans plans to teach Seminary there next winter. The Kay Giffords of Spring-dale visited one day last week with the Sam Evans family, on Friday Lucille and Vaughn went to Cedar City on business. Mr. and Mrs, Kay Allred of Bountiful brought Mrs. Effel Rlggs home Saturday after a two months visit with relatives. She had the pleasure of a seven day cruise on the Caribbean Sea and also did genealogy work, Mr. and Mrs. Orlln Frhener visited In Kanab last Tuesday, Lynda Stephenson of Cedar City visited over the weekend with them. Sunday the Howard Princes went with them to Cedar City to take Lynda home. Visiting the David Sawyers during the weekend were Kurt Sawyer of Cedar, Valeene Woodmancy and two children and the Kerry Sawyers of Panguitch. The Pat Dix family of Panguitch visited Sunday afternoon at the Oliver Hunting-tons. A large number o( local people attended Stake conference in Panguitch Saturday and Sunday. Speakers in Sacrament meeting were Seminary students from Panguitch and Hatch; Janice Rlggs, Edith Bahe, Mar tha Rlggs, Wallace Lee, Jr., and Gary Church. A song was given by Janell Barney and Bonnie Rlggs accompanied on the piano by Janice Rlggs. Afton Hancock, Rose Elaine Deuel, Velma Huntington and Janice Riggs attended a Stake Primary meeting In Clrcleville on Thursday. The Karl Lowders visited In Kanab Saturday with the Vay Sawyers, Sunday visitors at the Lowders were the Max Bur-ws of Fredonla. Ricky Sawyer who is attending college at Price was home for the weekend. Visiting Mrs. Idonna Deuel and family Sunday were La Verne and Delance Blackburn of Orderville. That evening Idonna and family had Sunday dinner at the Blackbvrns. Phillip Bailey was bringing them home when his car caught fire in Bear Velley. They escaped with Just their lives. Their suitcases of clothing, a new sewing machine and the car burned up. Bruce took them to Cedar Saturday for treatment as they caught the flu standing out in the cold. Wanda Frehner, Michelle Stephenson and Bonnie Riggs took May and Kent Sawyer to Cedar City Friday to join Kurt and JoAnne Sawyer to Provo for the basketball games. They also visited relatives at Orem. Others from here attending the games were Mrs. Lamar Barney and children and Michelle Riggs. They also visited relatives while there, also the Lay-ton Barneys, Janice Riggs, Jane Greenleaf and the Bill Ducketts. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Smith left Monday by plane for Southern California to attend his grand parents golden wedding. Mrs. Chris Quigley and family met Mr. Qulgly In Cedar at the air port Thursday after he had spent several months on a ship where he has been employed. The Orlin Frehners went to Parowan Saturday on business. Sam Aiken of Kanab visited the Frehners over the weekend. Mrs. Dick Perry and children went to Las Vegas to visit Dick who is working there and to attend Dick's grandfather's funeral. Lori Franklin is in Milford staying with friends and attending school. Emma Rae Humphries of Cedar visited the LaVal Sawyers. The Doyle Hancocks left their children with the James Lar-kins in Springdale while they went to Mesa, Arizona to get her father Squire Mangum after he had spent the winter there with his daughter. The Hancocks left him at the Kanab hospital for treatment for a while. Verla Sawyer of Kanab visited part of last week with grandparents the Arnold Saw yers. The Sawyers-went to Es- -alante Friday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder and Laretta, also Estella Riggs attended a school for town presidents and secretaries. The MacRay Julanders of Pangu-itch visited Saturday at the Wiley Huntingtons. D. U. P. meeting was held at the home of Estella Riggs Friday. Quilt-,r was enloyed and the lesson, "Eliza R. Snow' was given by Reva Lowder. Speakers In Sacrament meeting Sunday were Stake visitors Cameron Nor-- ton, Nordell Dalton. A piano solo by Kimberlee Evans. A fireside chat was held Sunday evening at the home of Bruce Dalton. Dennis Henderson was the speaker. He showed slides of his mission. Nile Sawyer and Rodney Gunn made a trip to Price to meet son Ricky who is going to college there. Visiting Saturday at the Orson Barnhursts were the Bret Barnhursts of Cedar and Sunday visitors were the Merlin Barnhursts of Salt Lake City. James Burrows visited during the week in Fredonia with the Max Burrows, in Kanab with the Cal Burrows, and in Orderville with the Horace Burrows.
