Chester Lay got word of the death of his mother Maggie who was In a rest home In St. George. The sick are all holding their own; one has been added to the injured list, the sma--11 daughter of the Dan Bairds wrecked on her bike knocking her front teeth out and suffering cuts and bruises, they took her to Richfield to the doctor. Phyllis and Terry Alvey and Karen Kelly went to Panguitch to the doctor. Robert and Rick Haws were home from their Jobs from Duchesne' and Nevada. Dee and Elda Haws had 60n Don and family home from Texas for the. hunt. Daniel and Orilla Co-wles, Koleen "Wayne, Carol Barney and the Chester Lays had business in Richfield. Gene and Mark Griffin went to Salt Lake City. Earl and Nethella Wools-1 ey had a visit from Hal and La-sea Woolsey of Kearns. The Earl Woolseys and the Charles Whites went to Bullfrog for fishing. Brent Cottam took his grand parents, Andrew and Isabell Spencer to Cedar City, Lavina Pollock and Dal Llston accompanied them. Dr. Kazan put Andrew back to bed for three weeks. Shirley Spencer and daughter Tammy went to Panguitch to the doctor. Ariel and Mable Baker of Calif, were here, she stayed at the Reeves Baker home while he hunted in the. Boulder area. The Bakers also had daughter Laurel and family home for the weekend. Nell Barker, Wilmirth Wool-ey and Dee Haws went to Panguitch for checkups. Lane and Geraldine Llston and family went to Las Vegas. Grant Llston had sons Lee and Mark home for the weekend, Mark is free again, had his marriage annuled. The Dean Gledhiils had her folks, Ernie and Betty Hill and family here from Colorado. Bessie Griffin had son Alvln home fromDugway for several days. The John Normans had a visit from his father Edward of Brigham City. The Ernie Griffins had Clem and family home, Crystal and Janls Haycock took Clarice to Pangulth to stay with Alton Church until her daughter could get there, La Vera and Mary brought her home. Eldon and Amber and girls were here from Kanab for the hunt, Jolynn Peterson and baby of Boulder Joined them here, The Edson Alveys had Lana Jordon and son here from Duchesne. The annual deer hunters ball was held, Boyd Griffin and company furnished the music. Jerry and Rosalee Coleman and family, Larry and Billie Chyn-oweth and family of Kanab visited relatives here. The Loff-land Oil Co. is drilling near Cannonville and some of the local fellows got a job. Smith and Betty Alvey are grandparents; Linda and Jay Stokes have a baby girl, Betty, Tony and Frank went to Tooele to greet her. Jim and Janet Spencer and family were here from Orem. Thell and Roxle Barney spent several days here. The Ott Ro-undys had Vernon and Peg and boys, Cheryl and Colette. Ada Porter had John and Erma Hamilton, Mary and Merrill Hill. The Grant Spencers had Donald and family from St. George. The Thurman Spencers had Lola and Donald Zenz from Reno, they took several loads of apples back. The Forest Alveys had LaDell and Karen and family home. The Hal Shurtzs had Valeree Huntington and Vickie Nelson and kids home while the men hunted. The Vernon Stowes had his sister Dottle and husband here. The Donald Griffins had Layne and Marilee and family. The Bill Giffins had Nickl Excell and girls home. The Ron Scho-ws had daughter Suzie and family home. Ashby and Ina Im-lay and her mother Mrs. Ray Proctor of Ogden visited and had dinner at the Frank Imlay home, last week Francis and Barbara and girls were here from Delta. Also missed last week the visitors at the Vergean Porter home; Vergeanla and DarreU Davenport and baby of Sum-mitt, the Porters went to Sum-mitt for christening of the tiny one. Rex and Eva Allen had a house full, Ira his wife and 5 kids came from Denver, Colo.; Lyle and Eunice Grover and 2 kids from West Jordon, Robert and Helen Luce, their daughter Camllle, Robert Jr., his wife Debbie and new baby from Calif. Camllle celebrated her 6th birthday anniversary while here. Bill and Sharon Francisco and boys, Warren and Kathleen Woolsey and boys were here from Cedar City. Twlla Mclnelly had Lynn and Judy Griffin, Mike and Grena Searle, Dave and Yulonde Mclnelly, Hal and Myrna Barker, of course Hal visited his mother Nell Barker and Yulonde spent time with Rol and Mlna Porter the Porters also had Marie and Kenneth Griffin, Haws Porter and part of his family, Nell Barker had Paul and Gty-la Cardon and some friends from St. George. Doug and Barbara Haycock and family were here. Invocation was by Lynn Griffin, talks were given by Gene, Thais, Brent, Wllford and Ruby Koe, Mark and Bishop Griffin. Gary Griffin played a piano solo. All of the Roe family was here except Kenneth of Logan, 26 of them met at the Gene Griffin home for turkey dinner. llllo and Lettle Boyce had son Acel and family home. The Lovell Twitchells had Beth and Rotis Coleman for the weekend. The Omer Relds of Spring-villa and Richard Brown of Sacramento were visitors at the Melvin Alvey home. Mel and Vaun Richcns and Mary Porter were at the Delane Griffins. Lael Spencer and family visited the Malt Spencers. The Blake Robinsons had son Blake Dee, Ben and Renee Porter and some of their family, Bruce and Beth Jacobsen and son of California. The hunting season's on again, some live from year to year to dress in red, go out and camp to hunt and shoot the deer. This year is slightly different, it isn't just for fun, the price of meat makes hunting a must for everyone. |
