Show Henrieville VIRGINIA JOHNSON (week of July 11) Roxie Chynoweth, Lula and Frankie Moore and Jimmie Neilson attended a reunion In Delta at the Bert Johnson home. Roxie's brother Leo Campbell came from Washington. They also visited the Heb-er Meachams. Heber Is better and able to get around some. Roxie has gone on vacation with the John Morton family to northern California, on into Canada and other scenic places and will also visit her brother Leo. The Glen Martin family of St. George visited the Herschel Partners over the weekend. A quilt was made by the Relief Society, blocks were donated by Mada Partner. Chances were sold here on it snd It Fredonla and Mr. and Mra. Karl brought $69 for our missionary fund. Randy Dutton won the quilt In the drawing. Te Dennis White family of White of St. George were 4th of July visitors at the Bryan Johnsons. Oscar Willis was visiting his mother. Fern Willis, over the weekend. Melba Smith's mother Mildred Deuel visited her over the 4th of July holidays. The Steve Gouldlngs moved their new trailer here and are living In It across from the store. Layton Moore was home visiting his mother Rubv Moore Driving home from Escalante after dark he ran upon sheep on the highway. Turning the car to miss them he plunged into a wash, car damages were great and Layton u hosplt allzed The Deloy Duttons had their baby blessed In Sacrament meeting, his name is Roger Henry. Henrieville VIRGINIA JOHNSON ( continued from front page ) Carolyn and Lynn Davies and sons of California spent a few days visiting her mother Virginia Smith and relatives Pauline and I. on Anderson of Pleasant Grove were here for the Fourth celebration, staying at her parents, the Guy Evans John Little of Kanab and Joyce Evass dropped In town to see Joyce's sister, Pauline Some Henrieville couples who square dance attended a square dance jamboree at Cedar City recently. The Dar Smith family of St. George have been recent visitors in town Among the square dance enthusiasts attending that Jamboree in Cedar Citv July 6th were the Elmo Bushnells, The Guy Evans, and the Dave Roses. Some of the news got lost last week so hope I get what was missed Robert Hague will return to Tucson to finish his stay in the service after his 30 day furlough Is up Visiting at the Arthur Vic Chynoweth home were Delon and LaRee Pollock and family The Ellis Johnsons are home for awhile and have two of their grandchildren here with them. Ellis had to quit his employment in Salt Lake because of his health David Quilters had the Wll lard Craigs here visiting and Willard took sick so they left in a hurry to see his doctor Mrs Peggie Ruckaleu and family spent a few days at her Meters, the Reed Gouldings. The 4th of July was celebrated in Henrieville with 55 per sons attending a flag raising ceremonv at 6 30 a m under direction of David Rose. Child rens races and other races were held from 10 to 1 1 30 a m followed by a community watermelon bust Then a bcseball game was enjoyed between the teenagers and the older folks Two Mohley families from Georgia came to visit the David Rose family They were friends of Max's who he met while serving In the Florida Mission. Word was received by Mr and Mrs Dave Rose of the arrival of a baby boy to Mildred (Rosel Chldesier on July 2nd The Chldestcrs live in Grants-vllle. Utah. Theron Rose and family of Edward, California, were recent visitors at the Rose home. |
