Darrell Alvey, Dean GledhUl, Melba Gates, Emmorn Dodda and Ja-na Lee Taylor went to Wyoming for horse racing, Darrell took horses and won a first, second and third place and three fourth places. Doyle and Rodney Cottam, Smith Alvey, Dale Lyman and Vernon Griffin were home from their Jobs for the weekend. Arden Taylor went to work for Mendenhall and Arnold Alvey for the Government survey. Ivan Shurts has been leaving Klea and the baby here and In Boulder and coming home every weekend, but he is being transferred now so he can take them with him. Hal Barker went north on a job, Myrna and the kids will Join him later. Dick Miller and family, Danny and Joy Reld, Linda and Bill Overall and OrvUle Cowles are home from Wyoming to start work on an oil rig here. Blake and Gurena Robinson went to Provo for a family reunion and to help daughter Beth celebrate her birthday. The Robinsons have Ben and Renee Porter and family from Provo and Ruth and Mate Baugh and kids from Tropic: they have had two of Rhode's boys here. Brent and Blake, they went home with Ben and Renae. Minnie Davis went to Tropic to Join daughter Leda Mae Foster for a trip to Cedar City. Relatives here got word of the death of a former resident. Frank Barney at the age of 80 Others we heard of having business in Cedar City were Ivan and Nelda Willis. Mariene. Patrice. Ten-ill and Jill Haws, the Alveys, Deon, Jsneen Iona and Lena, and Koleen Griffin El-there Alvey had daughter Madge, her husband Bill Vestal and son Donnle from Bar-stow. Calif , they also visited Mait and Nelda Spencer The Loyd Alveys had Vard en and Clea Woolsey and family of Bountiful. Dixie and The ron Mitchell and kids. Gerald ine Listen and kids went to Idaho to meet Lane LI ton who has been working there for the last three months The group planned to tour Yellowstone Park. The Reed Wooleyi have their granddaughters here from New Mexico. Marva and Howard Jensen's girls. Thu Vic Cottams have Jim and Vtrl Grade and family here from Calif. Kent came for the weekend. Thais and Gene Griffin had a visit from the Earl Roes and family of Panguitch. Judy and Mel Brooks have friends here and they all wnt to Las Vegas for several days. Dawn and Bill Griffin, Genoa! and Hal Shurts and part of their families went to a Peterson reunion. A Christensen reunion was held here, as Dinah put it all of the family were Included except her and Mohr. Relatives of the Heaps family went last week for their meeting; La Vera Griffin got that new car fixed so he could drive it himself so he is quite Independent. The Deuel folks went from here to a reunion. Barton furnished the wesson oil. The Morias Halls had son Joe and wife, daughter Lillian and two kids are back and Mack Steffeson, his wife and thirteen klda came from Salt Lake City. Jerry and Geneal Chat-terly came to visit the Andrew Spencers, he left her here and Andrew got so short of breath they took him to Calif. Areola Gates and kids went for a visit. Isabell stayed here to keep things alive. Anna Lee and Camilla Spencer went to Provo for some summer school training. Delia Christiansen was here, she and Alice Ann tore down an old building. Jane Woolsey's company all left and gave her time to catch a bad cold, then son Alvey Sherman and wife Lar-etta, their daughter Janet and her husband Edward Hudson and their three girls, Frankie. Kathy and Julie came, all from Imperial Beach, Calif. The Cave Men. Cliff and Bill Lictenhahn are back, they persuaded their mother, who is n as ring the century mark in age, to go to a rest home for a month and let them come home. Paul and Mary Steed, Marjle and Thurman Spencer, Don and Judy Kelly went to Salt Lake City for a political convention. The delegates, Paul. Don and Marjle had no problems but their partners had to do some persuasive talking to get in. Escalante's first laundromat is open. Vernon, and Margene Stowe went to Salt Lake to visit his mother. Myrtle Gatea. then stopped In Sallna to visit with Mr and Mrs Floyd Wilson, parents of their prospective daughter In law Sidney Ann.
