Show BUR BEAR 54 RIVER NEWS ITEM BEAR RIVER CITY feb 5 the dance and concert given by the brass band wednesday evening was well attended and enjoyed by those present as was the serenading sere the boys to town in the afternoon atler noon the funeral services held at the ward chapel thursday afternoon over the remains of mr george miller was very impressive many relatives and friends from salt lake tremonton Tre monton and other communities were in attendance the ward choir furnished the music with mrs florence gardner as soloist the speakers were bishop graham and mr cawley of salt lake city mrs airs calderwood and erick of tremonton Tre monton mr air edwin of dear bear river city mr miller leaves a wife fe and five children who are residing on a farm just west of town the sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved family I 1 friday evening a number ot of friends were entertained at a birthday reception at art the home of mrs mabel archibald A most delicious hot supper was served by the hostess with covers laid for thirty guests the evening was spent in listening to the radio A farm bureau meeting was held at the hall monday afternoon tor for the purpose of outlining the years pro gram grain mr air stewart and mrs brown county extension agents were in attendance it was decided to hold a meeting every month the home and community section will furnish the program one month and the mens de patr patri ment nent the next thus alternating throughout the year with the exception of january october november and december which will be taken up with differently arranged programs in the basketball game friday evening the home boys were successful n defeating the honeyville boys mr olof jensen was taken suddenly ill sunday Sunda yand and was thought to be suf suffering from appendicitis and was removed to ogden where he will be attended by his son dr conrad jensen mr air orson jensen and son jewel left tor for an eastern market with several car loads of sheep last thursday mr air jensen has been feeding sheep at delta during the winter mr elwell and mr brigham jensen who have been in his employ there since last tall fall returned home by automobile saturday 00 |
