Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Scaled proposals will be received by the State Road Com mission of Utah. Room 608 State Office Ruilding, Salt I,ake City, Utah, until 2 o'clock p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 1967. and at that time public hp opened for construction of A Road Mixed Bituminous Surfaced Roadway in Garfield County, the same being situat rd in the Bullfrog Recreational Area from Del Monte Mines to Trachyte Wash identified as Economic Development Administration Project No EDA 08 100125 3rd Contract. The length of road to be constructed or improved Is 10.360 miles, and the prlnicpal items of work arc approxlam-ately as follows: 1390 Tons of Bituminous Material. 64.000 Tons of Untreated Base Course - 34" or 1" Maximum and 750,000 Cu. Yds. of Unclassified Roadway Excavation The project is to be completed in 330 calendar days. Prequalification of bidders is required. Prior to any bidder's receiving plans and spe cifications. it will be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commis sion of Utah completed and approved, the required Pre qualification Statement ptf taining to contractor's experi ence and financial condition The attention of bidders ll directed to the Special Pltrftl ions covering subletting or as signing the contract In conformity with Section 110 of the Federal Aid High way Act of 1956 the U 1 M partment of Labor lias eerti fied the wage rates for this project which are the minim um wages to be paid on this project These rates are made a part of the contract docum ents. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that this Commission has been advised by the Wage and Hour Divis ion, U S Department of Labor, that contractors engaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provis ions of the Fair Labor Stand ards Act of 1938. (52 Stat 1060i The State Highway Depart nient, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Com merce (15 C.F.R., Part 8) issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without dis crimination on the ground of race, color, or national origin Proposal forms, plans, and specifications arc on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer at Price. Utah, where they may be reviewed by pros pective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained only at the Commission Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of $10.00, no part of which will be refund ed. Each bidder must submit a letter from an approved sure ty company guaranteeing to furnish said bidder with required bond.
