Show TO WED m Miss Beth Chidester Mr. and Mrs. John F. Chidester, Sr. of Grantsville announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter. Beth, to Roger Allan Foisy. The couple plan a June 12 wedding in the St. George Temple. A reception will follow that evening at Pangultch. The following evening, the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Foisy of Cedar City will honor the newlyweds at an open house in their home. The bride-to-be attended Southern Utah State College where she served as president and senator of the Associated Women Students and as senator of the Junior Class. She received the Pacesetter award for outstanding service to the college community snd was chosen as Outstanding Junior Woman. She was also chosen to represent SUSC In the yearly edition of Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. She was employed last summer as a counselor-tutor in the Upward Bound program at SUSC. Having graduated in December, she is now teaching school in Grantsville. Her fiance has filled an LDS mission in Northern California and is presently attending the SUSC where he Is working on his degree in Civil Engineering. ENGAGED B swVsi Miss Janis Hffl Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Hill of Kemmerer, Wyo. announce the engagement of their daughter, Janis, to Dean Gledhill, son of Mrs. Melba Gates of Escalante. The bride-elect graduates from Kemmerer High School with class of 1970 and plans to attend Dixie College this fall. Mr. Gledhill attended Southern Utah State College in Cedar City last fall and plans to attend Dixie College this fall. The wedding will be June 7 in the home of the bridegroom at Escalante. Local and Society TO WED ' "IS Miss Kay Lynn Black Mr. and Mrs. Alden Black of Pangultch announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kay Lynn, to Theron Eugene Roundy, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Roundy of Brigham City. The couple is planning a July 29th wedding in the Logan Temple. Miss Black is a graduate of Dixie Jr. College and Utah State University, and is presently employed in the Murray City School District. Mr. Roundy has attended Ricks College and is presently working on his Master of Science degree at USU. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He has fulfilled a Scottish mission. Steenberg MeEwen Mr. and Mrs. Horlie Steen-berg of Carlsbad, Calif, announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Nancy Jeanne to Bruce D. McEwen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merwin O. Brown of Pangultch. They will be married May 9th in the LDS Church at Oceanside. Calif. The young couple will live In Carlsbad until Bruce is out of the service in the Navy. Mrs. Betty Brown, son Steven McEwen and Mrs. Lula Dickinson of Pangultch, and Mrs. Leila Stoker and children of Henderson, Nevada are going to Calif, to attend the wedding. |
