Show Unseasoned Storm Maroons Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Harry Curtiss of Las Vegas were marooned for three days on upper Mammoth Creek last week. They came up for a weekend slay at their cabin there and were caught in a freak heavy snowfall. When they didn't retain home relatives notified Garfield County Sheriff Keith Fackrell, an expedition was started out from Panguitch but could not make it through the heavy snow. Using four-wheel vehicles, the Sheriffs Posse finally made it to them the next day. They suffered no ill effects, but had been forced to get into a neighboring cabin to obtain food and fuel to hold out until rescue arrived. |
