Show LOYHOVA CAMP MEETS Loyhova Camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers held their meeting April 30th at the home of Mrs. Horace Myers, with President Nettle Dowdell conducting. Song, "Mother s Old Red Shawl," acc. by Mary Sargent. Prayer, Chaplain Lula Dickinson. Discussion of another edition of the Garfield County history book, "Golden Nuggets of Pioneer Days," led by Mary Sargent. Project chairman Fay Lynn planned to make a cross stitch quilt and asked 12 members to assist by making a block, all material will be paid for by the Camp and chances will be sold on the quilt to raise money. History of Isaac Dickinson, former Pangultch resident, was given by his daughter Al ta D. Talbot Song, "Green Green Giass of Home," Dorothy Davis, self-ac. on guitar. Lesson, Ghost Town of Utah, by Amelia Woodard, she gave the life history of Paria and Pipe Springs in Kane County, Wldtsoe, Asay and Hillsdale in Garfield, and Buck- horn Spring in Iron County. Song, "He Sat in a Beautiful Mansion." by Dorothy Davis. Closing song, "Oh Don't You Remember." Refreshments were served to 17 members and 2 guests by hostesses Bessie Talbot, Hazel Sevy, Nettie Dowdell, and Ruby G. Myers. |
