Hyrum and Ooleen Barlow and family of Salt Lake visited over the long 24th weekend with the George Proctor family. Suss Walker spent Wednesday through Saturday with BUI aad Doris Rappleye and family ia Kesrns. They attended funeral services for Daniel Vigil, husband of Carol Rappleye Vigil, In Wast Jordon on Fri Mr. and Mrs. Jay Dickinson returned to their home in En-dnltas Calif. While here they visited Jay's brother, the Dell Dickinson family in Salt Lake and attended a Barker family reunion there. Mrs. Lula Dickinson accompanied them up north. Mrs. Lula Dickinson, Amelia Woodard, Alta and Berrle Talbot, Betty Brown and Steven McEwen attended funeral services of OrUla Dickinson Wilk inson. She wss the daughter of Jamas Dickinson and was born on Dickinson hill, and Is the last of 14 children. Mike and Elaine Miller visited their folks, the LeGrande Farnsworths and Bern Millers Last weekend. They live In Smlthfleld snd Mike is going to school st Logan. Warren Young, wife Wanda and three children of Salt Lake weekended with his mother, Mrs. Grace Young. Warren has been given the job of making scenic photographs of the National Parks In the area served by Union Pacific railroad. He wUI cover Bryce, Zlon, Cedar Breaks and Grand Canyon - -only a top photographer could get such an important assignment. Visiting Mrs. Young for the 24th holiday were Denny Boyter of Mt. Home, Idaho snd Mrs. Tom Bird of Richfield. Mrs. Young's daughter Theda Peterson has completed a sec-retrial -computer couhe at Boise College and is now employ-ad at a Mt. Home, Idaho radio station. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Smith, their daughter-in-law Mrs. Jua-nlta Smith and her daughter of Roanoke, Virginia visited for twelve days with J. Usher snd DoUy Henrie. Donald and Barbara Marsh all snd children Mischele. Mel-anie and Jack of Sandy and Jim and Hilma Excel are camping out on Boulder Mt. for a week. Jersld snd Margaret Elmer snd five children of Calif are visiting st the home of Mrs. Dempster Da vies Mrs. Davles had daughter Lela Lund's girl here with her from Salt Lake helping her for a few weeks, then Mrs. Da vies had to give up and go to the hospital for medical care. Mr. and Mrs George Dodds snd children of Sacramento, Calif and Tom and Rea Dodds are camping out on Boulder Mt. this week Mr. and Mrs. Dick Lee snd five girls returned home to Syracuse after vacationing at the home of his mother, Mrs Mary Lee Gean Sevy and her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Proctor snd Kim, Rodney snd Valerie Pearson snd Mr. and Mrs. Max Proctor, all of Las Vegas, were here for the weekend and attended funeral services for Eugene Gardiner at Junction. Among the holiday visitors hi town from Salt Lake were Mr. and Mrs. J. Levi Myers, the Jimmy and Ned Myers fa mUles and the Gayden Morten-son family; the Alton Talbots and granddaughter Donna ; O-pal Norton who stayed with her daughter Mrs. Ralph Gouldlng and Uda Owens. Boyd and Opal Alvey of Es calante spent the weekend at the Archie Talbot home. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh GUger of Hurricane were overnight visitors : Saturday they aU went to attend services st Junction for Eugene Gardiner Randy Hatch fell off a horse and Injured his shoulder. Last week his parents, Howard and Mamie, took him to Salt Lake to the Holy Cross hospital where he had surgery and two pins Inserted in his shoulder. Keith O. end Rosemond Henrie hsd their grandchildren Jacqueline and Kelley Chides-ter here for ten days while the parents John F. snd Mary Kay were on vscstlon at Flaming Gorge. Donald R. and Virginia Hunt and three children and Mr. and Mrs David Church of CorvaUls, Oregon visited at the Henrie home and toured to Bryce and Grand Canyons and other scenic spots Mr. snd Mrs. Lyman Sevy and family of Pleasant Grove spent the weekend with his parents, the Earl Sevys. and took sons Dale snd Alan home with them after the boys had spent two weeks here with their grandpsrents. Bob snd Sue Robinson snd two children of Vernal visited for s week at the Scott Robinson home; for the hoUdsy weekend they were joined by Kay and Janice Bcinson and four children snd Donsld and Eileen Robinson of Salt Lake. The Keith R. Henrie family of Espanola, N.M and the Vernon LaMonns of Salt Lake visited the E A Henries. Visiting st the home of Mrs. Florence Houston and attending the Houston reunion on the 24th were Paul ana Flora Keller and five children and Mrs Jimmy Keller and baby Cam- Ule of Price. Mr. and Mrs. Simon K. Benson snd six children snd three friends. Crawford Houston, wife, son snd baby son of Sslt Lake. Doyle and WUma Peterson and sons Jeff and John of Sandy were here for the weekend at the home of her parents, the Maurice MarshaUs. They took their daughter Cynthia home with them after she had visited here for ten days and left the boys here to visit their grandparents for a week. Tom and Maxine Talbot and son of Ogden visited for the hoUdays at the Roy Talbot home. Visiting with Mrs. Alva Johnson for the 24th were Mr. snd Mrs. John L. Johnson and two children of Granger, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reid and son Tye of Longmont, Colo, snd Lloyd snd Minnie Johnson and three children of San Diego who also visited her folks, the Don Ip-sons. They aU went up to Salt Lake and stayed with Duncan and Jean Lamont and family, and had a family reunion, with 30 In attendance, at Memorial Park. Mike and Carol Hales of North Salt Lake joined them there. Mrs. Emma Hardy and three daughters of North Ridge, Calif are here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Houston Hatch, Emma came to be with her mother who had surgery at the hospital last week and is coming along nicely. Their other daughter 11a Crabb and daughter Phyllis hsve been here for the past three weeks snd expect lie's husband Keith to come up this weekend from Las Vegas to claim them. Their son Rulon Hstch phoned from ConnecUcut on the 24th holt-day The Frank Coopers of Calif came for their son Dsv-id who had been staying at the Hatch home. Also visiting the Hatch's were Fawn and Stsrns Mechsm of Escalante. Major Karl McAllister came up from Albuquerque over the weekend to get his wife Joann and family who have been visiting here for some time. Mrs. Keith Forsyth snd girls spent the week In Wayne Co. Doyl will be over all the LDS Seminaries in the islands. Cindy Braken of Salt Lake spent the weekend with Jay-nell Crosby. Visitors at the Jay Crosby home and attending the funeral of Frank Richards were Mr. and Mrs. Evan Crosby, Dee and Theron Crosby of Salt Lake; Silas and Nellie Crosby of Pasco, Wash .; the Gordon Crosbys of Clearfield Mr. and Mrs. Don Marshall of Provo visited for a week at the Earl Marshall home. Mr. and Mrs. Benson Egan came down from Provo to attend services for Frank Richards. Joe Marshall and son Billie and daughter Cindy and her friend are at the Marshall's cabin at the lake for a few days. Ray and Jerry Lewis of Ontario, Calif, and Tom and Irene Decker of Fontana, Calif, are vacationing at the James Hatch ranch house on the Mammoth. Elmo Brunner of Las Vegas visited in town for the weekend. Coming down to spend the holidsy weekend at the Frank Henrie home were Duff and Kathy Mitchell, Tom and Colleen Slmkins, and Steven and Verna Henrie who also shared their time with Verna's parents, the Harold Lindsays. Roy L. Henrie and family of Blanding have been camping on the Mammoth, children and their families from Calif, and Utah Joined them at the camp. Visitors at the Frank Daly home were the Frank Cooper family of Calif, and the Art Chldester family of Moab. The Dalys have had Dave and Craig Bunker of Calif, visiting with them for a month. |
