Show Appointed As New Forest Supervisor Merle Prince, son of Rulon and Fay Ella Prince of Panguitch, has been assigned as Forest Supervisor of the Central Plains Forestry Office with headquarters in chad ron, Nebraska. The Central Plains Forestry Office covers the Nebraska National Forest and several national Grasslands In Nebraska and South Dakota which are now part of the National Forest system. After summer employment on the Panguitch Lake and Powell Ranger districts and graduation from Utah State University In 1959. Merle began his Forest Service career as Assitant Ranger on the Escal ante Ranger District. Since leaving l'ta he has served as Range and Wildlife Project Staff Officer and District Forest Ranger on the Grand Mesa-Uncompahgre National Forest, Recreation and Lands Staff Officer on the San Juan National Forest. During the past year he has been in the Regional Office in Denver. Colorado as Branch Chief in the Division of Range Wildlife Management in charge of the range improvements and development for the Rocky Mountain Region of the Forest Service. Merle and his wife, the former Pauline Sevy, and their four children will move to Nebraska in June. |
