Bobbie Griffin was well enough to attend church Sunday, but Rhoda Da- ' i-1, - vis can't seem to get her strength back. Clayt Porter got flu on top of what already ailed him so he was in a bad 1 shape; the cold cloudy weath- er always affects Bill Web-ster's breathing, i Jimmy Woolsey, small son of Beth, had to be taken to Panguitch to have eight stitches in his lip where he got wounded playing baseball. Arnold Alvey run a wire through his eyelid just missing the eye ball, he bled like a stuck hog but did not go to the dottor, he was on duty for Garkane when it happened. Ray Griffin is feeling better but stays pretty close to home. There are red measles among the Elementary schoo children, flu among all ages, and several adults were stricken with New Car Fever, those succumbing were Clyde Spencer,. McKay Bailey and Pratt Gates with touring cars, and Leo Wilson with a new truck. The Randal Lymans got a different car but we just thought It belonged to one of their patrons. They had son Dick and his wife Mary here, Mary went back to her job and left Dick to help Randal with some painting, he returned to Salt Lake with Gwen and Randal when she had to go for a school board meeting. The James Mclnellys had daughter Elma and a girl friend here for a weekend visit from Salt Lake. Berlin Osborn keeps going back to Salt Lake for unfinished business. DeRay, Lizzie and Elmer Porter went up for the weekend, Cal was tired traveling so stayed home to feed the cats. Ivan and Nelda Willis went to Salina to visit overnight with son Ellwood then on to Salt Lake to get some material to redo their house. Leda Mae Foster came from Tropic to visit her parents, Billie and Minnie Davis and to show' off her new- son. Cecil Griffin, is still keeping his mouth shut and living on liquids. The Hode Alveys have, a new grandson born to Ilene and' Earl Coff- man of Page. Wish to correct a slight mistake, it was a grand son the Grant Spencers got, born to Vicki and Clement Davis, if they, give me , two guesses I can hit it close. Hilda Roundy made it home' from I-daho and reports daughter Return and new baby girl doing fine. We all join Ott and Hilda in being right proud of their son Vernon Dean'' Roiihdy and what he has accomplished with his basketball team in the South Sevier High School. They won the State championship in. the Class B this season. We knew Vernon Dean could play ball and now he has proven' that he. can also teach others to play. Starns and Faun Mecham went to Tropic Sunday to hear Glen Jolley report on his mission. Marline Haws and part' of her- family had business hi' Richfield. Danny and Ada' Heaps brought Ella Mclnelly home thinking it was Spring and got in our only big- snow. Sacrament meeting Sunday the North ward had their Primay conference under the direction of President' Areola Gates; in the South the Freshmen Seminary put on the program under the direction of Noel Bess; there were talks by Kent Osborn, Arlene Hall, Lorene Dutton and LolaiRae Listen; a vocal trio by Vale-ree Mclnelly, Susie Schowtand Gail Spencer;, vocal duet by Sherry 'Boil and Lola Rae Liston, Evadean Hamilton accompanied both; a piano solo by Donetta Haycock.
