NO HUNTING AT BRYCE CANYON NAT'L PARK The 1963 deer hunting season is here and once again the 1863 Deer Hunting Proclamation of the State of Utah falls to Indicate National Parks and Monuments as areas closed to hunting. The National Park Service of the Dept. of the Interior is required by Act of Congress of August 25, 1916, to conserve the Wildlife of the National Parks and Monuments, and subsequent regulations made and approved by the Secretary of the Interior, prohibits hunting of any kind in these areas. These federal regulations have the full force and effect of law. All hunters, and especially those unfamiliar with the areas, should be informed of this fact. Supt. Louis W. Hallock states that the boundaries of Bryce Canyon National Park are well posted and that in- tensive patrols will be conducted by Park Rangers throughout the deer hunting season. Additional information may be obtained from the Superintendent's Office or at any Ranger Station in the National Parks and Monuments. |
