Show 9 Local Contingent Of Fair Winners Return With Trophies From State Fair Garfield County delegates to the State Fair at Salt Lake City Included Catherine Jensen, left, Marilyn Allen, Susan Crofts, Madelyn Lindsay, Leah Church, all of Panguitch, and Karen Cottom of Escalante. This year the Garfield County Agents took seven girls to the State Fair. Catherine-Jen--sen and Marilyn Allen entered the Meal Preparation c6n-test. Diane Jensen and Susan Crofts participated in the demonstrations. Karen Cottam entered the Public Speaking contest, Leah Church and Madelyn Lindsay modeled for the Style Review. All of the girls judged in the Home Economics Judging contest. The girls gained much from this trip and considered it a very worth while experience. The following entries from Panguitch received Blue Ribbon awards at the State Fair: Clothing Division: Geniel Houston, wool suit; Kathy Allen, wool coat; Mary Susan Foy, wool coat, skirt and scarf; Helen Miller, Marie Hehrie, and Linda McAllister, dresses; De-bra Dodds and Jeanette Stow-ell, aprons; Marilyn Henrle, knitted sweater; Mary Margaret Barney, knitted hat. Foods Division: Kathleen Rlggs, cookies; Douglas Roe and Donlece Seeley, quick breads; Mary Susan Foy, Yeast bread. Catherine Jensen and Marilyn Allen, Meal Preparation contest; they also received an award for the best chicken dinner done by teams.
