Show Local and Society An Invitation Mrs. Grace Young extends an invitation to everyone to attend a wedding reception In honor of her daughter, Helen, and Thomas A. Bird, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bird of Circloville, on Saturday, August 7th, from 8 to 10:30 p.m. at the Panguitch Seminary building. Their anniversary cake was baked by their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Thelma Slade. Joining them for their Silver Anniversary dinner at Panguitch Lake Camp Ground were all six of Mrs. Slade's children by a former marriage, Roy and Shirley Batty, Jerry and Marie Nelson and family, all of Cedar City; the Keith Warren family of Denver, Colorado; Dan and LaRue Miller and family of Seaside, Calif.; Melvin and Beth Armstrong and family of Norwalk, Calif.; the Karl Warren family of Downey, Calif. Three of Mr. Slade's children by a former marriage were there: the Jim Slade family of San Diego, Calif.; the Royden Slade family of Mundelin, 111.; Arthur and Fern Sevy and family, of Upland, Calif. Another son of Mr. Slade's, DeLoy Slade, from Chicago, 111. was unable to attend. Their son, Leon Slade, and his wife from Ogden made a total of 49 of their descendants attending the gala event. Other visitors included the Rulan Daltons and daughter and granddaughter; the Herbert Worthens, their daughter, son-in-law and children ;, the Pratt Gouldings and daughter Laura and a grandson; Mrs. Zella Pritchard and two children; Mrs. Nelda Riding Pollock. Most of the children camped with their families at Panguitch Lake Camp Ground to continue the Reunion and to share pleasant childhood mem- I ories with the grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Slade list their present address as 2756 Adams Ave., Ogden, and invite their friends from Panguitch to visit them whenever they are in that vicinity. |
