Show Crofts Pearson Industries Becomes Kaibab Crofts Industries As Big Business Deal Changes Lumber Outfit Ownership Mr, Alfred H. Crofts, President of Crofts Pearson Industries of Panguitch, announces that E. Jay Whiting and A. Milton Whiting, of Flagstaff, Arizona, have purchased the interest of Marden Pearson, Dwain Pearson, and Arlos Crofts in Crofts Pearson Industries and Utah Dry Kiln Company. The name of Kaibab Crofts Industries will replace that of Crofts Pearson Industries. The management of the Company will remain under the direction of Alfred H. "rofts, John M. Crofts, and J. H. Crofts. There will be no change, at the present time, of any of the local personnel. The sale of the Company's products will be through the Kaibab sales organization under the direction of Jim T. Gotcher. This sales organization Includes 12 salesmen In seven Western States. Central accounting will be under Orvil M. Bushman of Flagstaff, Arizona. This procedure will add the benefits of a Unlvac 1004 Computer located at Flagstaff. "We feel that this is a very excellent addition to our growing lumber Industry" said Mr. E. Jay Whiting of Flagstaff. Radio contact is planned to connect the Panguitch plant with those at Arizona Fredonia, Flagstaff. Payson, and Phoenix. Members of both the Crofts and Whiting families feel that additional manufacturing of forest products will be pursued due to the close proximity of the plants at Panguitch and Fredonia. Close working relations will be maintained by the two companies. New officers of Kaibab Crofts Industries are: President, Alfred H. Crofts; Vice Presidents, Leo H. Crofts, E. Jay Whiting, and A. Milton Whiting; Secretary - Treasurer, Orvil M. Bushman. Directors of the Company Hill include the above listed officers plus J. II. Crofts, John M. Crofts, and Jim T. Gotcher. |
