Show Cleanup Campaign Sees Much Panguitch Improvement Determined to clean up our community of old buildings, barns, fences and general untidiness, the weather didn't stop many people from doing their clean-up assignments on Saturday, May 22nd. The county loader and city and county dump trucks, driven by Vee Hatch, Loris Chid-ester, Allie Norton, Harry Judd and Vernon Holman, were real busy. They knocked down the old Dwayne Davis home; Joe Miller sheds and fences, hauled loads of ashes from behind the Social Hall. The firemen burned the piles stacked by the loader. Carl Farnsworth and Chad Moore, giving of their time early Saturday morning, hauled old cars to dump grounds. Cooperating In the community clean-up were all 4-H groups, Scouts, Cub Scouts, and leaders. . Did you miss the hospital fence? Did you notice Aunt Tillle's lawn? Take a look at the race track and Aunt Mattie's. The stables were cleaned up by the Riding Club. The Jay-cees began working on the Lit- tie League ball field. Many loads of trash were taken to the trash pile. The Elementary School conducted a poster contest on clean-up. The winners were Jolayne Wilson, Robert Crosby, Cindy Moore, Kathleen Bulkley, Brenda Davis, Phyllis Dickinson, Joelle Smith, Dixie Sevy, and Dandy Pollock. We have a good start; Let us keep this a full summer and fall program in beautifying our community. The Clean-Up Committee appreciates and thanks you for your cooperation. |
